 Mr. James Kevin Wright of Summersville, son of Jamie Mae (Jaggers) Wright and the late Bernie Edward “Buddy” Wright, was born in Ft. Carson, Colorado on December 10, 1962. He departed this life on Sunday, July 20, 2025 in Lexington at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was 62 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was non-denominational in his beliefs. Mr. Wright was a talented bodyman and was the owner of Wright’s Rebuildables. If you knew him, you loved him – and he knew many, many people. His genuine kindness and good heart glued his family together, and that love will continue to hold them together.
He leaves to mourn his passing:

Three children: Christa Wright and companion Robert Johnston, Jacob Warf and companion Jill Christian, and Paige Warf and companion Joseph Dye,
Two siblings: Michael Wright and Shelia Cecil,
Twelve cherished grandchildren: Madison Kelley, Meghan Santiago, Addy Wright, Aiden Forbes, Lilly Hicks, Logan Pulley, Bryson Johnston, Karma Dye, Emma Stevenson, Reylee Johnston, Kevin Cole Dye, and Sophia Stevenson,
Three great-grandchildren,
Five sisters-in-law: Karen Pulley and husband Mike, Vickie Webb, Alicia Webb, Barbara Boils and husband Gillis, and Sissie Bennett and husband Eugene,
And countless other extended family members and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Kevin Wright on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM EDT (12:00 PM CDT) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Aetna Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 23, from 10:00 AM EDT (9:00 AM CDT) until time for the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the funeral expenses. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.

 Jesse Shelton “John” Smothers of Campbellsville, the son of the late Jesse and Lillian (Gribbins) Smothers, was born July 9, 1945 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at his home. He was 80 years of age.
He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Faith Union Baptist Church.
He was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army National Guard and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and a bus driver for the Taylor County School System.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters: Ricky Smothers, Nancy Lemmon and Dorothy Newton.
Survivors include his wife: Dianne Kay (Bradshaw) Smothers of Campbellsville; a daughter: Eleasia Radcliff and husband Chris of New Castle, Indiana; a son: Mark Smothers of Campbellsville.
Also surviving is a sister: Geneva Persun of Magnolia; eight grandchildren: Dustin Ibarra (Kaleb), Dalton Smothers, Alyssa Wethington (Dustin), Melina Smothers, Samuel Smothers, Nicholas Radcliff (Sarah Jo), Colton Radcliff (Rosie) and MacKenzie Radcliff; a great-grandson: Ryan Wethington and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Jesse Shelton “John” Smothers will be Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery with Military Honors.
Bro. Donnie Warren and Bro. Nathan Rayburn will be officiating.
Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.

 Rose Newcomb, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Clem Douglas Biggs and Loddie Adele (Ellison) Biggs, was born May 1, 1958 in Campbellsville and departed this life on July 7, 2025 at her home. She was 67 years of age.
She was a homemaker and farmhand, and was of the
Methodist Faith.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister:
Gwendolyn Love.
Survivors include two daughters and a son: Billie Parker and
husband Chris, Anna Mae Newcomb, and David Newcomb and companion Brenda all of Campbellsville; two brothers: Randy Biggs and wife Charlotte and Ronnie Biggs, all of Campbellsville.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren
and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Rose Newcomb will be Thursday at 1:00
P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Griffin Cemetery at Ebenezer.
Family requests visitation after 11:00 A.M. Thursday until time for the service.

Michael Ray Parker Sr. of Campbellsville, the son of the late Howard William Parker and Frances Pauline Milliner Parker, was born January 13, 1953, in Murfreesboro, TN, and departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. He was 72 years of age.
He was a veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was of the Catholic Faith and was a former employee of Cox Interior. He was a carpenter and loved woodworking, making cabinets. He also liked working on cars, playing with his cats, and was known to be a “jack of all trades,” and was always fixing something for someone.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Juanita Bright Parker and 7 children: Michael Ray Parker Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Mt. Washington, David Parker of Junction City, Keith Parker and his wife Brooke, Kristin Parker, Sarah Parker, Whitney Parker, and Aaron Parker, all of Campbellsville. 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and one expected great-grandchild, along with a host of nieces and nephews, and his many cats.
Also surviving are three sisters, Marilyn Pickett (Gary), Jean Marie Masden, and Sue Shofner, two brothers, Gary Parker and Tim Parker.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Parker and Robert “Bobby” Parker.
The funeral service for Michael Ray Parker, Sr., will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Bro. Steve Orr will officiate.
The family has requested visitation on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
Memorials are suggested to be donations to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, and those can be made at the funeral home.

Gary David White of Campbellsville, the son of the late Charles Shively White and Audrey Mae Bailey Jones, was born July 12, 1954, in Campbellsville, KY, and departed this life on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the VA Medical Center in Louisville. He was 70 years of age.
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Christian Faith. He was a veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was an over-the-road truck driver for 40-plus years, and he loved doing auto body paint and repair. He enjoyed bird hunting, horseback riding, working in the shop, his dogs, shooting, going for joy rides, and spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by two sons: David White and his wife Hope of Campbellsville, Damon White of Elk Horn, and their mother Sandra White of Campbellsville. Grandchildren: Dayton White, Mylea Wicker (Jackie), Tanner White, Shelby Cole, Lexie Cole, and Jessie Joe Whitlock,. Great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Whitney, Wes, Emma, James, Addy, Ethan, Cooper, and Tucker. One sister, Sue Bracey (John) of TN, a sister-in-law, Sharon White of Campbellsville, and his dog Boone. Also surviving is his Fiancé Angel Siebe of Campbellsville and her children, Brianna Scherle, and Logan Karpiak, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike White.
The funeral service for Gary David White will be Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the St. Francis DeSales Cemetery in Spurlington.
