Lorena Lewis Cochran of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Howard Gray and Mildred Tava Canada Gray, was born January 21, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:43 P.M., Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 80
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.
Lorena was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She enjoyed sewing at home and was a member of the Red Hatters.
She united in marriage to Wallace Lewis January 16, 1960 and he preceded her in death June 15, 1992.
She is survived by two daughters: Marlene Harper and husband, Sam and Cindy Murphy of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Chris Harper and wife, Tabitha, Nikki Allen and husband, John, J. R. Murphy and Paige Murphy of Campbellsville; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister: Donald Gray and wife, Patricia, Raymond Gray and wife, Betty, Gary Wayne Gray and wife, Patricia and Mabel Karnes and husband, Ronnie of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Leon Gray and Joyce Bault Watkins.

Rev. Ivy Carole Brasher Ferree

Rev. Ivy Carole Brasher Ferree went to her Heavenly home on January 11, 2019. She joins her husband, Rev. Ron Ferree, her parents, W. D. and Mable Brasher, a brother, Charles, and other friends and relatives.

Carole was born on March 23, 1949 and grew up in Milan, Tennessee. She married her high school sweetheart, Ron Ferree in 1966. They had one child, Felicia Carole Ferree Miller.

Carole received her Master’s degree in Social Work and worked as Licensed Clinical Social Worker for years at Adanta Clinical Services. She retired in 2009 from Adanta. Since 2014, she has been the Executive Director of Phoenix Way working with adult individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Carole was also an ordained minister in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In the 90s, she served as Pastor in Beaver Dam and the Perryville church. Over the years, she had done pulpit supply and felt this was where her greatest service to the Lord would be.

Carole leaves on this earth: one brother, Mickey Brasher of Milan, Tennessee; Felicia Ferree Miller, daughter; four grandkids: Sgt. Dakota Meyer, Tim Gilliam, Marissa Gilliam and Talia Crabtree and husband, Shawn; seven great-grandkids: Sailor Meyer, Kayden Crabtree, Elaina Gilliam, Atlee Meyer, Keaton Crabtree and Baylor and Benjamin Ratchford; one companion, Kenny Clements.

Laura Adams Gabehart

Laura Adams Gabehart of Campbellsville, daughter of Faye Berry Adams and the late Kenneth Lee Adams, was born July 3, 1963 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:20 A.M., Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in Lexington. Age: 55
She professed faith in Christ and was a charter member of Heaven Bound Community Church where she was also the pianist and music director.
Laura earned an Associate Degree in Business and a Bachelors of Psychology and was an employee of Active Day in Campbellsville. Helping people was one of Laura’s callings and she was very passionate about the people that she helped. In her spare time, she liked to crochet and spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She united in marriage to Todd Gabehart June 24, 1982.
Besides her husband, Todd Gabehart of Campbellsville, she is survived by three sons:
C. J. Gabehart and wife, Mary, Travis Gabehart and Wayne Draper and fiancée, Katie Hitchcock; two grandchildren: Emilee Alexis Gabehart and Justin Stanley Gabehart; her mother, Faye Adams; one sister, Cheryl Davis and husband, Joseph; one aunt, Linda Berry, all of Campbellsville; two nephews: Tyler Cruse and wife, Savannah of Lexington, South Carolina and Jake Cruse and wife, Tempestt of Ashland City, Tennessee; one great-nephew and one great-niece: Lucian Cruse and Jaylee Cruse of Lexington, South Carolina and many other relatives and friends.

Amy McGlone South of Campbellsville, daughter of Charlotte McGlone Bratcher and the late Thomas Davies McGlone, was born June 29, 1974 in Boyle County, Kentucky. She died Sunday, January 6, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 44
She is survived by three sons and one daughter: Ethan South, Conner South, Mason South and Madison South of Campbellsville; her mother, Charlotte Bratcher and step-father Leroy Bratcher, whom she loved like a father, two sisters: Amanda Whitehead and husband, Allen of Campbellsville and Andrea Brown of Danville; two step-brothers and one step-sister: Wesley Bratcher and wife, Melanie of Danville, Todd Bratcher of Bowling Green and LeeAnne Bratcher Coy of Mt. Vernon; her maternal grandparents: Robert and Mary Langford of Harrodsburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Marie McGlone.
Cremation was chosen.

Marvelle J. Beard of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Cliff Jerde and Carrie Halverson Jerde, was born June 11, 1939 in DeKalb, Illinois. She died at 9:41 P.M., Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 79
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Lutheran faith.
Marvelle was a retired physical therapist with the Holy Cross Hospital in Florida.
She united in marriage to James Beard in 1987.
Besides her husband, James Beard, she is survived by one son and one daughter: Tom Kennedy and wife, Theresa of DeKalb, Illinois and Carrie Valencia and husband, Jorge of Davie, Florida; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren: three brothers and three sisters: Harold Jerde, Paul Jerde and wife, Karen, Dean Jerde and wife, Terry, Carmen Osland and husband, David and Marilyn Mathison and husband, Merv of DeKalb, Illinois and Carol Rumpf and husband, Ron of Peoria, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
