Juanita Moss

Juanita Moss of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Henry Thomas Morris and Ruby Ethel Johnson Morris, was born June 9, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 12:50 P.M., Sunday, August 28, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age:  86

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church which she loved.  Juanita also attended Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church and Salem Baptist Church with her family.

Juanita was a retired employee of Campbellsville Laundry and also helped her husband, Read, work on their farm.

She was a very caring person, who was always willing to help; never failing to do something special for people in their time of loss.

She united in marriage to Thomas Read Moss December 24, 1967 and he preceded her in death January 11, 2004.

Juanita loved her family and is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Trent Walters; two grandchildren:  Autumn Walters and Tristan Walters; one brother, Dennis Morris and wife, Frances; one sister-in-law, Mary Frances Morris, all of Campbellsville; two nephews:  John Morris and wife, Tina of Simpsonville and David Morris and wife, Michelle of Danville; several cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Juanita was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister:  Harold Morris November 11, 2003 and Janada Wilson June 13, 2013.

Ronald L. “Ronnie” Lemmon

Ronald L. “Ronnie” Lemmon of Campbellsville, son of the late John Shelby Lemmon and Bettie Ann Brockman Lemmon, was born August 15, 1942 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 5:12 A.M., Friday, August 26, 2022 in Campbellsville.      Age: 80

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Cumberland Presbyterian faith.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy.  Ronnie never met a stranger and loved telling hitchhiking stories from when he was in the Navy to and from Florida to Kentucky or to and from Maine where he was stationed.

Ronnie was a retired supervisor with Parker-Kalon. He was a member of the Grave Yard Relics Car Club and the American Legion Post #82.

He loved boating, fishing, camping and traveling.  In the last 4-5 years, Ronnie had grown to love rat rods.  Rat rods are an old truck or car that is pieced together by using parts from another truck or car or whatever can be found, whether it be a coffee can for cupholders or lawnmower seats for seats.

He loved putting his boat in the Ohio River and traveling up and down the river.  He once put in, along with several buddies, and traveled seven days and through six states and was featured in Heartland Boating Magazine.  Ronnie would like to thank his crew for standing up behind him and going on his boat trips on the river to Florida.

He is survived by one son, Troy Lemmon of Campbellsville; two granddaughters: Shelbi Bohanna Lemmon and Shayli Brae Lemmon; two great-grandchildren:  Adleigh Bo Carter and Sawyer Ridge Ellis; one brother-in-law, Ancil Reynolds; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.  Ronnie loved his grandkids even though he didn’t get to see them in the last few years.  He also loved his great-grandkids, whom he never had a chance to meet.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters:  Jewell Dean Lemmon Reynolds and Carmen Malone.

Allen Tucker

Allen Tucker of Campbellsville, son of Trudy Allen Tucker and the late Benjamin Franklin Tucker, was born June 1, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois.  He died at 1:00 A.M., Sunday, August 21, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age:  55

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Allen had been a handyman and had worked as an employee of Campbellsville Industries and at the marina.

He is survived by three daughters: Rachel Tucker of Newington, Connecticut, Somer Bree and Kayla Mann of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Landon Motta and Brynn Motta of Newington, Connecticut; his mother, Trudy Tucker; two brothers and three sisters: Steven Tucker (Tosha) of Elizabethtown, Brian Tucker (Becky) of Sonora, Michele Dickens (Harvey) of Campbellsville, Patty Riser of Paris, Kentucky and Teresa Christy of Pickerton, Ohio; an aunt, Catherine Deadman (Richard) of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Marcia Milby

Marcia Milby of Campbellsville, daughter of Mildred Ruth Bricken Thompson and the late Charles L. Thompson, was born December 12, 1957 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 3:19 P.M., Sunday, August 21, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age:  64

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Marcia was an excellent seamstress and was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She had a big heart and loved her family, friends and animals.  Marcia put everyone ahead of herself and her door was always open to anyone in need.  She also enjoyed music, playing the guitar and going out with her Mom and having friendly arguments.

She united in marriage to Gary Dean Milby November 11, 1976 and he preceded her in death January 26, 2020.

Marcia is survived by one son and one daughter:  Adam Milby and wife, Sally of Pierce and Karen Campbell of Campbellsville; one granddaughter, Savannah Milby of Pierce; her mother, Mildred Thompson of Campbellsville; one brother and one sister:  Doug Thompson and wife, Annette of Campbellsville and Janet Eastridge and husband, Greg of Catlettsburg; special friend, Debbie Mardis of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Marcia was also preceded in death by a sister, Donna Collins June 24, 2012.

J.T. Bland

JT. Bland of Campbellsville, son of the late James Clarence Bland and Katherine Grant Bland Smith, was born August 23, 1940 in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 8:28 P.M., Thursday, August 18, 2022 in Elizabethtown.  Age:  81

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

JT. started working for Kroger at the age of sixteen and remained there until his retirement. He was a minor league baseball coach for many years and enjoyed watching westerns. J. T. also was an outdoorsman and enjoyed watching deer when he was not fishing or hunting.

He united in marriage to Connie Walters Bland March 25, 1988 and she preceded him in death August 6, 2022.

J.T. is survived by two sons: Craig Bland and wife, Maria of El Paso, Texas and Ryan Bland and wife, Kim of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two step-children: Jenny Powell and husband, Richard of Elizabethtown and David Anderson and wife, Karen of Leitchfield; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Mike Bland and wife, Lee Ann of Maryville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
