Cindy Wood Denton of Charlestown, Indiana, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Noel Wood and Barbara Gertrude Walters Wood Pike, was born July 26, 1963 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 2:56 A.M., Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Age: 58
She professed faith in Christ and attended Hill City Church.
She was a graduate of Campbellsville University and worked as a Social Worker.
Cindy was known as a kind and affectionate person. She loved her fur babies, reading, writing and riding roller coasters, but more importantly loved the Lord, and had a special relationship with her grandchildren and siblings whom she loved dearly.
Cindy is survived by three sons: Maurice Haskins of Clarksville, Indiana, Shon Haskins and wife, Brandie, and Andrew Wood and wife, Ashley of Jeffersonville, Indiana, ten grandchildren: Kendall Dunn, Breanna Haskins, Caelan Haskins, Anthony Haskins, Kiarra Haskins, Jasmine Haskins, Mila Haskins, Taea Pasco, Jaden Wood, and Melody Wood; one brother and one sister: Tommy Peppers and Donna Benningfield of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Cindy was also preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Ann Peppers and Bonnie Rae Peppers.

VIRGINIA CLARK MAYS OBITUARY

Virginia Clark Mays, 97, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Calvin Bailey and Shellie Pearl (Marples) Bailey, was born in Cincinnati, OH on March 4th, 1924, and departed this life peacefully in her home with her loving family by her side on Monday, September 20th, 2021.

She professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church in Campbellsville. Virginia was a former employee of Taylor Regional Hospital and Taylor County School System before she retired.

She united in marriage to Raymond Clark on October 8th, 1943, and preceded her in death in 1979, to this union of marriage five children were born.

Later, Virginia united in marriage to Ray Mays in 1986, and preceded her in death in 1990.

She was also preceded in death by special relatives: Vance and Ester Baxter, who raised her as their own.

Survived by three daughters and one son: Shellie Aileen Dugger; Gilbert (Sharon) Clark; Carolyn Taylor; and Diane Colvin, all of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Two brothers:  Carl (Rita) Grooms, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Charlie (Anita) Bailey of Columbus, Indiana.

One daughter-in-law:  Louella Clark of Louisville, Kentucky.

One brother-in-law:  Ken Hawn of Jacksonville, Florida.

Seven grandchildren:  Kim Stanley of Central City; Stephanie Morton of Whitesville; Jimmy (Mary) Taylor, of Springfield; Shannon (Dean) Cornett, of Campbellsville; Merica Gowin of Campbellsville; Jennifer (Brian) Smothers, of Campbellsville; and Allison (Al) Newland, of Louisville, Kentucky.

Nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, several nieces/nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Besides her parents, special relatives, and two husbands, Virginia is preceded in death by:

One son:  Larry Ray Clark

Three sisters:  Wilda Lowe, Margaret Mayhugh, and Catherine Hawn.

Two brothers:  Harold Bailey and Hubert Bailey.

One son-in-law:  Glen Colvin.

VISITATION: Thursday, September 23rd, 2021, from 11am-2pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

FUNERAL:  Thursday, September 23rd, 2021, at 2pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for expression of sympathy please take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River or Gideon Bibles and can be made at the funeral home.

She united in marriage to Miro Jack Satalich October 17, 1952 and he preceded her in death May 3, 2020.

Cleo Underwood of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Earlie Blakeman and Alma Coffey Blakeman, was born February 17, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 6:48 P.M., Thursday, September 16, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 91
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She united in marriage to “Jody” Blond Underwood February 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death February 15, 2014.
Cleo was a homemaker and formerly a member of the Homemakers Club. She loved decorating her church and cooking for her church and family.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Brenda Underwood of Elk Horn; two grandchildren: Cathy Murray and husband, Shaun of Greensburg and Stephanie Conn and husband, Joey of Columbia; four great-grandsons: Dylan Conn, Dawson Conn, Dax Conn and Casen Murray; one brother and two sisters: Mickey Blakeman and wife, Judy of Ft. Worth, Texas, Barbara Loyall of Brentwood, Tennessee and Nora Graybeal of Paducah; special friends: Bernice Cox, Linda Edrington, Carol Blakeman, Shirley Bright and Diane Coomer; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pine Grove Church.
She united in marriage to David Yeagley December 15, 1995 and he preceded her in death April 6, 2019.

FRANCES SKAGGS OBITUARY

Naida Frances (Beams) Skaggs, 86, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Everett Beams and Gladys (Allen) Beams, was born in Taylor County on July 30th, 1935, and departed this life on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, Kentucky.

She professed her faith in Christ and was member of Otter Creek Baptist Church.  Frances was an active member of AL-Anon, whom she shared strength and hope with other members and the American Cancer Society.  She retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after working 30 plus years as a labeler.

Frances was a multi-talented woman with many skills and talents.  She had the ability to be a wonderful cook for her family and friends.  She loved to crochet and sew in her spare time.  Frances loved to find a good book and she had a passion for reading.

She united in marriage to Charles Wilson Skaggs on May 13th, 1955 and preceded in her death on March 12th, 1994.

Survived by one daughter: Karen Skaggs Davis and her husband, Michael, of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

One brother:  Earl Beams of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Two grandchildren:  Jacob Gibson and wife, Lynette, of Memphis, Tennessee and Nathan Gibson and wife, Vrusah, of Corvallis, Oregon.

Three step-grandchildren:  Kimberly Sandlin and husband, Jonathon, of Columbus, Mississippi; Paul Davis of Campbellsville, Kentucky; Michelle Clough of Spokane, Washington.

Three great-grandchildren:  William Gibson of Memphis, Tennessee; Kiran Gibson of Corvallis, Oregon; and Naveen Gibson of Corvallis, Oregon.

Beside her parents and husband, Frances is preceded in death by:

One daughter:  Kathy Skaggs.

Two sisters and one brother:  Veda Bowen, Anna Marilyn Beams, and Jr. Beams.

Ann Olive (Ragsdale) Marsh, 95, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Rev. Cletus C. Ragsdale and Rev. Essie (Cooper) Ragsdale, was born in Alexander County of Cairo, Illinois, on November 27th, 1925, and departed this life peacefully at her home on Monday, September 13th, 2021.

She professed her faith in Christ and was a member of First Church of God in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Mrs. Marsh was a registered nurse and served as a public health nurse for over 30 years to help improve the community health thru educating the community of disease and injury prevention.

She united in marriage to Mr. Harry Slaton Marsh on December 5th, 1956, and he preceded her in death on December 28th, 2004

Survived by one daughter and two sons:  Marlita Marsh of Campbellsville, Kentucky; Phillip Marsh and wife, Susan, of Richmond, Kentucky; and Lloid Marsh of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Two grandchildren:  Sarah Wells and husband, Daniel, of Richmond, Kentucky, and Jacob Marsh of Tampa, Florida.

Four great-grandchildren:  Amelia Wells, Boone Wells and Garrett Wells, all of Richmond, Kentucky; and Hunter Marsh of Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Marsh is preceded in death by three sisters:  Elva Mae Ragsdale, Cleta Gallaher, and Eileen Morton.

Kevin Brent Brown, 51

Kevin Brent Brown, of Edmonton, the son of the late Brent and Barbara (Walters) Brown was born January 22, 1970 in Jefferson County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Edmonton at his home. He was 51 years of age.

He was a former employee of Morrison Correctional Facility in North Carolina. He enjoyed fishing and being with friends and family.

Survivors include two daughters: Sarah Brown of Frankfort and Kelsey DeVee and husband Jacob of North Carolina, three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends including locally, an aunt and uncle: Patty and Russell Brown.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Shane Brown and a sister: Christina Brown.

The family chose cremation and private services will be held at a later date.

Eva White

Eva White, daughter of the late Edward E. Hickerson and Elmer Rea Tungate Hickerson Gipson, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She was 75 years old.
She was born on August 19, 1946, in Oldham County, Kentucky and professed her faith in Christ early in life. She was united in marriage to Ralph G. White on August 21, 1965.
She worked for 34 years as a Production Control Specialist at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and earned her BA in Criminal Justice from Lindsey Wilson College. She retired from the Department of Social Services after working several years as a Social Worker Aid.
She was an avid UK sports fan – she loved watching “her” Cats along with family and friends. She also loved geneology, reading, and finding a good bargain.
Eva was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Hickerson Perry. She is survived by her husband, Ralph White of Campbellsville, her son Jon White of Elk Horn, and her daughter, Angie Lyvers of Hodgenville. In addition, she is survived by one daughter-in-law, Beverly White, and one son-in-law, Pat Lyvers.
