Betty Nelson of Campbellsville daughter of the late Cleaver Moore and Elizabeth McCarty Moore, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, March 13, 1944. She died at 4:02 P.M., Friday, May 9, 2014 in Louisville. Age: 70
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Metzmeier Nursing Home, she also was employed at Price’s Grocery for several years.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Ollie Jones, Brian Nelson and Patricia Lanham of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Jessica Lynn Dean, Danielle Jones and Brandon Nelson of Campbellsville and Timmy Jones of Glasgow; four great-grandchildren: Allison Dean and Cameron Dean, Allie Jones, and Tyler Ray Jones; three brothers and three sisters: Junior Moore of Campbellsville, Paul Moore, Robert Moore and Sue Cox of Lebanon and Joyce Porter and Aileen Whitlock of Finley; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Danny Jones January 31, 2003 and one sister, Tresea Hardin.

Mrs. Irma Jo Shepperson of Campbellsville passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 peacefully at her home. She was 60 years of age. She was the daughter of the late James and Helen Irene (Ritchie) Wilson. Mrs. Shepperson was a retired employee of the Commonwealth of Kentucky where she had worked as a receptionist and secretary. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Campbellsville.
Mrs. Shepperson is survived by:

Six children: Veronica Adams, Tony Shepperson, Brittany Bowier, Tammy Cox, and C.R. Shepperson, all of Campbellsville, and Dianna Williamson of Elizabethtown

Mr. George Ray Norris, age 56, of Columbia, passed away on Monday in Columbia at the Westlake Regional Hospital.
Survivors include two sons: Jeremy Norris and Gregory Norris and his companion Connie Espinozo, all of Columbia.
Six brothers: Parris Norris of Columbia, Bill Norris of Florida, Larry Norris, Andy Vasquez, Paul Vasquez, Kenneth Mickens all of Michigan.
A grandson: Gregory Norris, Jr of Columbia.
A memorial service for Mr. George Ray Norris will be conducted on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. EST 1:00 P.M. CST at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

Charles Edward Cox, age 67, of Mannsville died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
Charles was born September 13, 1946 in Taylor County to the late George W. Sr., and Irene Smothers Cox. He was a 32 year employee of the Kentucky Highway Department. He was a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed spending time fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Montrey Garrett Cox, his daughters, Heather Mings and her husband Michael and Beth Davis and her husband, Kit, all of Mannsville; his sisters, Carrie Rafferty and her husband Steve of Campbellsville, Connie Burton of Campbellsville and Emma McDonald and her husband Larry of St. Cloud, FL; his brothers, Darrel Cox, Hilbert Cox and Gary Cox and his wife Ailene, all of Campbellsville; his grandsons, Drake Mings and Cody Davis and several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Irvin Milby with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. The family requests visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Jean Wooley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late George R. Mattingly and Eliza Mattingly, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, November 16, 1937. She died at 6:00 A.M., Friday, May 2, 2014 in Campbellsville. Age: 76
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of Christ.
She united in marriage to A. C. Wooley December 8, 1956.
Besides her husband, A. C. Wooley, she is survived by one son and one daughter: Terry Wooley and special friend of the family, Ina Ree Pickett of Campbellsville and Glena Jarboe and husband, David R. of Lexington; two grandchildren: Donna Mudd of Springfield and Stacey Jarboe of Lexington; three great-grandchildren:
Blake, Lexi and Lyla Jean; two brothers and three sisters: Wayne Mattingly of New Hope, Louis Mattingly and Lorene Hill of Lebanon, Darlene Blaul of Campbellsville and Bernice Totten of Bardstown; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Earl Bugg of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Cozetta Ruth Mings Campbell, age 70, of Elk Horn, died Monday, April 28, 2014 at Jewish Hospital after an illness.
She was born in Campbellsville, Ky on September 7, 1943 to the late William Zach and Cora Beth Watson Mings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland “Bud” Campbell and a son, James Arnold Campbell.
She is survived by her son, Robert Campbell of Elk Horn, a daughter, Gail Zimmerman of Port St. Lucie, FL; her sisters, Veda Jean Hancock, of Campbellsville, Gerald Brown, of Campbellsville, Regina Parker of Elk Horn, Kay Watson of Campbellsville and Nina Cox of Campbellsville; six grandchildren, Rochell Campbell, Tara Coomer, Shanda C ampbell, Alexandra Zimmerman, Dalton Zimmerman and Logan Zimmerman and four great-grandchildren, Payton Coomer, Riley Coomer, Haley Campbell and Amelia Hocevar.

Ronda Carol Anderson, age 49, of Campbellsville, formerly of Louisville, KY died Monday, April 28, 2014 in Campbellsville.
Ronda was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a two time breast cancer survivor.
She is survived by her mother, Theresa Willard; her brothers, John Michael Anderson and Jason Scott Anderson of Campbellsville and Eric Ayers of Louisville and a sister, Crystal Gail Hatfield of Campbellsville. Her father, Samuel Durbin Anderson, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. The family request visitation from 5-8 pm Thursday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Theresa Lynn Hunt Pavlik, age 54, of Columbia, passed away on Monday in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital.
She is survived by her husband: Rodney Allan Pavlik of Columbia.
Two sons: Curtis Justin Pavlik of Columbia and Joseph Smith of Bethlehem, PA.
Two grandchildred: Alexis Marie Deel of Delaware and Braeden Dominic Smith of Pennsylvania and a host of other relatives and friends.

Martha Abell Tucker, age 89, of Campbellsville, was born in Lebanon, Ky., Aug. 27, 1924 to the late Hugh L. Abell and Edna Raley Abell. She died on Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Campbellsville.
She graduated from St. Augustine High School in Lebanon in 1943 and later, at Nazareth College in Louisville.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Campbellsville where she had served as an usher and on various committees throughout the years, including the Legion of Mary.
Martha co-founded Tucker Diamonds & Gold in 1948, formerly called Young’s Jewelry Store and Tucker’s Jewelry Store. She was past president of Campbellsville Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW), as well as president of Campbellsville American Legion Auxiliary and was a charter member of the Campbellsville Downtown Business Association.
She was a dedicated Bridge player and a long-standing golfer, winning the Woman’s Club Championship five times at Campbellsville Country Club.
She united in marriage to Thomas Cleaver Young in 1946, who preceded her in death in 1955.
She united in marriage to Morris V. Tucker on January 13, 1957. He preceded her in death December 21, 2008.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Douglas M. and Kathleen M. Tucker of Campbellsville; one step-son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Donald W. and Margaret W. Morford of Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandsons: Drew D. Tucker and Abel M. Tucker of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Al and Joy Tucker of Union, Ky.; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Eugene Abell, Hugh Abell, Harold Abell, Mary George Abell, Susan Abell Ryan and Genevieve Abell Rawlings.
