Dorothy Alice DeSpain, age 92, died Monday, November 5, at Taylor Regional Hospital.

She survived by one son and daughter-in-law Melvin and Nancy DeSpain of Knifley, one Daughter Naomi Bryant of Campbellsville, and one grandson Lewis Bryant Jr.

          Funeral services for Dorothy Alice DeSpain will be held Sunday, November 11th, at 2PM at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial following in the Brookside Cemetery.

Ella Marie Fair , age 86, died Monday, November 5, at her residence.

She survived by four sons and daughter-in-laws Vernon and Pansy Fair, Kenneth Fair, Joseph Fair and Denise Cox, and Ronnie Fair all of Campbellsville, Three daughters and son-in-laws Becky and Ricky Martin of Russellville, Tammy and Mike Stayton, and Donna Brewer all of Campbellsville, fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ella Marie Fair will be conducted Thursday at 1PM at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral home with burial following in Gumm Lick Cemetery.

Albert Grimes of Campbellsville, son of the late Robert J. Grimes and Annie M. Caulk Grimes was born February 1, 1954 in Larue County, Kentucky. He died Saturday, November 3, 2012 in Campbellsville.      Age: 58

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.

He was a farmer.

He is survived by three brothers and one sister and their spouses: Billie and Myrtle Grimes and Thomas and Linda Grimes of Campbellsville, James and Martha Grimes of Louisville and Mary and Jim Nunn of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Thelma Grimes of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Stanley Grimes, Woodrow Grimes and Dorothy Morris.

Frank Ingram Arnett, age 86, died Sunday, November 04, 2012, at his residence in Taylor County.

 

He is Survived by wife Dorothy May( Henderson) Arnett, six  son and daughter-in-laws; Jerry and Stacy Arnett of Greensburg, Vince Arnett of Tennessee, Mark and Phyllis Arnett of Lexington, Roger and Sue Arnett, Frank and Neva Jean Arnett, and John Arnett all of Campbellsville, four daughters and son-in-laws; Rita Arnett and Carla Gray of Campbellsville, Debbie and Barry Stearman of Germany, and Becky Arnett of Lexington, five brothers and sister-in-law; Raymond and Judy Arnett, Woodson Arnett, Ed Arnett, Clayton Arnett and Noah Arnett all of Greensburg, five sisters and brother-in-laws; Virginia Akin, Ruth and Joe Simpson, Kathrine and Bobby Simpson, Nettie Creason all of Greensburg, Ruby and Alton Milby of Summersville, twenty grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

He was a former law enforcement officer.

He is survived by two daughters, Allison Walters and Emilee Walters and parents, Rev. David and Nancy Walters of Campbellsville; one sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Bill Fox of Columbus, Mississippi; one niece and one nephew: Millie Fox and Liam Fox of Columbus, Mississippi and many other relatives and friends.

Dr. William R. Neal of Campbellsville, son of the late Amos Neal and Ethel Owens Neal was born February 15, 1943 in Brockwell, Arkansas. He died at 7:00 A.M., Saturday, November 3, 2012 in Campbellsville.       Age: 69

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He received a PhD from the University of Mississippi and was an English Professor and Chairman of the English Department at Campbellsville University.

He united in marriage to Beth Ann McCarty July 13, 1982.

Besides his wife, Beth Ann Neal of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: John Neal and fiancée, Katrina Melton of Lexington and Joanna Neal of Portland, Oregon; one step-son, Christian Darrow and wife April of Dalton, Pennsylvania; two step-grandchildren, Ashley Darrow and Ryan Darrow of Dalton, Pennsylvania and many other relatives and friends.

Laura Hourigan of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Duncan Brockman and Pearl Wood Brockman, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, November 1, 1924.    She died at 8:16 A.M., Thursday, November 1, 2012, in Campbellsville.    Age:  88

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

She was an employee of Jane and Linda Sportswear in Lebanon and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to William David Hourigan, Sr. in 1942.  He preceded her in death in 1979.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter:  Merle Hourigan and Curtis Wayne Hourigan of Campbellsville and Brenda Spalding and husband, Wesley of  Shepherdsville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by two sons:  William David Hourigan November 24, 2004 and James G. Hourigan October 18, 1996 and a sister, Beulah Bault.

Margaret Juanita Nelson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Willie Ernest Richerson and Addie Colvin Richerson, was born in Cisco, Illinois, March 14, 1933.   She died at 11:22 P.M., Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Elizabethtown.     Age:   79

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She was a retired employee of Texaco after thirty-three years of service.

She united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Nelson January 25, 1986.

Besides her husband, Dick Nelson, she is survived by two step-sons and spouses; five step-grandchildren; two brothers: Les Richerson and wife, Nellie and Earl Richerson of Lebanon; twenty-two nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Dick Richerson, Luke Richerson, Albert Richerson, and Norma Jean Richerson.

She professed faith in Christ and was a life-long member of Campbellsville Christian Church.

She was a retired teacher with the Campbellsville School System.

She united in marriage to James Lester Campbell, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law:  Dr. James L. Campbell, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Lynchburg, Virginia; two granddaughters:  Jamie Ann Plank and husband, Colin and Marianne Elizabeth Campbell of Lynchburg,
