Gene Boling of W. Main Street, Campbellsville, son of the late Robert Boling and Elizabeth Eudella Handy was born March 24, 1935 in Fleming County, Kentucky. He died at 6:28 P.M., Thursday, September 14, 2006 in Campbellsville. Age: 71 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy, retiring as Chief Master-At-Arms after twenty-two years of service having received the Good Conduct Award, Expert Marksman Medal and Meritorious Unit Commendation. He united in marriage to Ethel Thomas May 24, 1979. Besides his wife, Ethel Boling of Campbellsville, he is survived by four daughters: Patti Faith Stinson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Dianna Boling and Angela Shrout of Mt. Sterling and Deanna Roberson of Owingsville; two step-daughters: Glenda Dawson of Lexington and Theresa Goebel of Texas; nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and twelve step-great-grandchildren; several other relatives and many friends. Viola Mann Harden, age 91, of Campbellsville, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home after an illness.She was the daughter of the late Ben Roy and Emma Poynter Mann. She was united in marriage to Enos Harden on December 23, 1934 and he preceded her in death on July 11, 1994. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Alton and Doyle Harden, two brothers, Charles Mann and Willie Mann, four sisters, Zelma Bottom, Elma Skees, Lola Tucker, and Villa Goode.She is survived by two sons, Elwin Harden of Campbellsville, James M. William Roy Wethington of Elkhorn Road, Knifley, son of the late Julian Wethington and Mary Celeste Montgomery Wethington was bornSeptember 19, 1920 in Casey County, Kentucky. He died at 2:30 P.M., Sunday, September 10, 2006 in Louisville. Age: 85 He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army having received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, seven bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal. He taught Agriculture in the Taylor County School System and served as Postmaster of the Knifley Post Office for some 45 years. He united in marriage to Martha Rosabel Holcomb December 28, 1945. She preceded him in death March 25, 1987. He is survived by a foster son, Cebert Sherrill and wife, Alice of Louisville; one foster grandson, Christopher Sherrill of Louisville; one brother, George Wethington of Ottawa, Illinois; a special niece, Iona Smith of Campbellsville, several other nieces and nephews and many friends. Lida Antle of Campton School Road, Greensburg, daughter of the late Everett Penick and Dorothy Mae Elmore Penick was born November 4, 1919 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 5:20 A.M., Thursday, September 7, 2006 in Campbellsville. Age: 86 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church for many years prior to her move to Florida, where she then joined the First Baptist Church of Central Florida in Orlando. She worked at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and later retired from Coyle Drug Store after twenty-three years of service. She united in marriage to Harvey Antle December 24, 1936. He preceded her in death January 18, 1991.She is survived by two daughters: Phyllis Milby of Summersville and Gardenia Jeffries and husband, Elwood of Orlando, Florida; seven grandchildren: Mark Jeffries of Orlando, Florida, Julie LeMaster of Glens Falls, New York, Debbie Bardin, Connie Glasscoe and Mickey Milby of Summersville, Donna Allen and Lisa Milby-Beard of Campbellsville; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Bob Penick of Louisville, her twin, Eliza Perkins and her husband Jack, and Frances Bean of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
