Jewell “Tootie” Puyear, 69

Puyear PICMrs. Jewell “Tootie” Puyear, the daughter of the late Benny Ray and Flora “Hootsie” Whitlock Thompson, was born October 2, 1945 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Campbellsville at her residence. She was 69 years of age.
She united in marriage to Elbert “Pee Wee” Puyear, who preceded her in death on June 16, 2015. To this union were born two children: Judith “Sissy” Mattingly of Lebanon and the late Calvin Puyear, who preceded her in death in 2010.
Three grandchildren: Amanda Mattingly and Missy and Michael Mitchell all of Campbellsville and Jessie Puyear of Willisburg; five great-grandchildren: Haley, Nate, Chloe and Peyton Mitchell and Eli Puyear; his special adopted children: Debbie Rucker and husband Timmy of Shelbyville and Michelle Vaught of Campbellsville; his special adopted grandchildren: Tyler and Bailey Rucker, Brittany, AJ, Michael, Keileigh and Nasha Vaught; special friends: Hallie Harris and Gladys Mattingly and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: McKenzie Puyear; three sisters: Barbara Thompson, Bernice Thompson and Bonnie Greer.
The funeral service for Mrs. Jewell “Tootie” Puyear, will be conducted Monday, September 7, 2015 in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Bro. Donnie Blick will be officiating.
Visitation from 5-8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Joyce Ann Parker, 65

Joyce Ann Parker passed in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on Sept 1st 2015 at the age of 65. She was born on February 7th, 1950 in Campbellsville, Kentucky to Spencer and Louise Parker.

Early on Joyce Ann attended Pleasant Union Baptist Church. She graduated from Taylor County High School in 1967. Soon after moving and building her life in Aurora, Illinois. Joyce Ann retired from Seal Master Bearings in Illinois and spent her last year’s back in Campbellsville.

She is survived by her mother, Burnice Louise Parker, two brothers Larry (Jean) Buckner, George (Terri) Parker, two nieces Curprisa Visor Rayford, Lisa (Nineka) Visor Woods, four nephews Anthony (Denise) Buckner, John Visor Jr., Cory Parker, Jason Parker, and a special grand nephew Demario Scott Rayford Sr.

She was preceded in death by her father, Spencer Parker and sister, Martha Parker Visor. Joyce had a host of family and friends that loved her for the sassy, tell it like it is woman she was! She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt. Always by her sister’s side Joyce helped to raise her nieces and nephew. Joyce loved being with her mom and sister shopping, traveling, or just having family time at home. She had a giving spirit and a heart of gold. Her in your face integrity impacted many over her lifespan and her humor was her signature character.

A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8th at Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 426 Fallen Timber Road, Campbellsville Kentucky. The burial will be in the church cemetery with repast to follow.   Rev. Michael Caldwell will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joyce Ann’s life.

Stanley Sallee

Stanley Sallee of Campbellsville, son of the late Howett Sallee and Sarah Campbell Sallee, was born October 27, 1932, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:39 A.M., Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Campbellsville. Age: 82
He was a retired employee of Taylor County RECC.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church.
He united in marriage to Lula Marcum July 5, 1952.
Besides his wife, Lula Sallee of Campbellsville, he is survived by four daughters: Linda Sherrill and husband, Billy, Brenda Rice and husband, David and Wanda Hardin of Campbellsville and Sandy Adams and husband, Jerry of Summersville; six granddaughters: Tammy Willis, Angie Draper, Natalie Alexander, Amanda Scott, Melissa Lanham and Sara Harris; eleven great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister: Willard Sallee, Arnold Sallee and Donna Murray of Campbellsville and Leroy Sallee of Gibson City, Illinois; two brothers-in-law: Tom Mardis and Hodges Skaggs of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bobby Hardin; a grandson, Jeff Rice and one brother and three sisters: William Sallee, Louvenia Mardis, Dimple Skaggs and Marjory Sallee.
