Joshua Lee “Bubba” Ulbert, the son of Louella Lipps Ulbert, and the late William Lee Ulbert was born October 1, 1983, in Rockford, IL, and departed this life on February 26, 2025, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was 41 years of age.
Besides his mother, Louella Ulbert of Campbellsville, he is survived by one sister, Chelsie Marie Ulbert of Campbellsville, and a nephew, Makyian Bridgewater.
The family has chosen cremation and there will be a Memorial Service for Joshua Lee “Bubba” Ulbert at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel.
Bro. Jeff Edwards will officiate.
The family has requested visitation on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to be donations to the Funeral Expense Fund and can be made at the funeral home.

Lyle Carl Rakes of Elk Horn, the son of the late Vernal Henry Rakes, and Ruth Raikes Rakes was born November 1, 1956, and departed this life on February 25, 2025 in Campbellsville. He was 68 years of age.
He was a farmhand and a chef. He enjoyed fishing, and giving the grandkids tractor rides and horseback rides.
He united in marriage to Connie Pittman Rakes and she preceded him in death on May 14, 2021.
He is survived by four children: Johnny Rakes and April Thompson of Campbellsville, Anthony Rakes of North Carolina, and Lisa Lucas of Florida. Three step-children: Terry Abell of Calvary, Holly Abell of Gravel Switch, and Cathy Abell of Louisville. 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are eight siblings: Ella Mae Reed, Vernal Ray Rakes, Wayne Rakes, Joseph Rakes, David Rakes, Shelby Clark, Patricia Malson, and Lucy Rakes.
Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Dorothy Rakes, Wilma Lawson, Janet Hall and Bonnie Bush.
There will be a private funeral service for Lyle Carl Rakes at 12:00 P.M. Friday, February 28, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow. Bro. Freddy Thompson will officiate.
The family has requested a public visitation on Friday, February 28, 202,5 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M at the funeral home.
