Police Find Meth Lab in City Limits

The Campbellsville Police Department today, Wednesday October 3, 2012, received information days ago reporting a peculiar smell emanating from a residence on Hord Street. Officer began to investigate and learned the occupants were wanted on warrants from Washington County.

At approximately 4:45 PM, Officers went to 107 Hord Street to execute the outstanding warrants on William Tate, Jr. and Pamela R. Brown. Upon entering the residence, Officers discovered what they perceived to be the paraphernalia and ingredients of a Methamphetamine Laboratory to manufacture the substance.

Officers immediately secured the scene and called for a team to dismantle the lab and dispose of the chemicals. Kentucky State Police Troopers from Post 15 and Drug Enforcement responded to assist. The scene was secured and dismantled without incident.

Officers arrested William “Junior” Tate; age 26 of 107 Hord Street on an Indictment Warrant from Washington County and Pamela R. Brown, age 21 of 107 Hord Street on an Indictment Warrant from Washington County. Both were lodged in the Taylor County Jail.

The investigation continues and additional charges are possible.

Shelia Cox

Shelia Cox of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Howard Cox and Ora Mae Herron Cox, was born October 7, 1953, in Jefferson County, Kentucky.  She died at 9:09 P.M., Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in Campbellsville.      Age:  58

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one brother and two sisters:  Sam Cox of Indiana, Patty Burress and husband, Freddy of Elk Horn and Doris Childress and husband, Charles of Louisville; two brothers-in-law, James O’Neal of Leitchfield and Lindsey Ford of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters:  Evelyn O’Neal, Sylvetta Ford and Edith Mae Cox and a sister-in-law, Mary Cox.

Willie (Elgin) Price, age 84, of Campbellsville died Wednesday, October 3, 2012, after an illness.
He is survived by his wife Vertilee Price, one son and daughter-in-law Willie Leo Price and Teresa of Pittsville, Ill., two daughters and son-in-laws Wanda and Jesse Johnson of Louisville and Helen and Gary Shelton of Indiana, two brothers Donald Price, Eugene Price, four sisters Dorothy Dooley all of Campbellsville, Louise Hash of Louisville, Cedell Cox of Shepardsville and Ella Skaggs of Maryville, KY, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM, Friday, October 5, 2012 at Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Zion Separate Baptist Cemetery.
