Amedeo “Fred” Politano of Campbellsville, Kentucky, formerly of the east side of Chicago, son of the late Vincenzo Politano and Cittadus Coucetto Politano, was born in Cosenza,
Italy, August 13, 1918. He died at 9:30 A.M., Thursday, November 17, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 93
He was a barber on the east side of Chicago for over sixty years.
He sang lead in five major operas in Chicago.
He servedhis country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II.
He united in marriage to Louise B. Woszczynski who preceded him in death August 4, 1992.
He is survived by one sister, Mary Logullo of Bourbonnais, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Ida Politano of Chicago, Illinois; special friend, Pat Pritchard of Campbellsville, Kentucky;
several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Aldo Politano, Otto Politano, and Tony Politano.

Bradley E. Corbin, age 77, Hodgenville Road, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at his
residence after an illness.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Corbin of Campbellsville, two sons and one daughter –in-law, David and Janice Corbin and Roger
Corbin of Campbellsville, three grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany and Jenna Corbin of Campbellsville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10AM, Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt.
Carmel Cemetery in Adair County.

(Marion County, KY) – Trooper Fred Cornett is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Tuesday 11/15/11 at approximately 7:43 P.M. in Marion County. Eugene Owens, age 35 of Lebanon, was operating a 2001 Pontiac two door traveling East on KY 68 two miles West of Lebanon. Owens attempted to turn left onto Mcelroy Pike and turned into the path of a 2007 Chevrolet pickup being operated by Tim Clark, age 57 of Lebanon.
Clark’s vehicle struck Owens’ vehicle in the passenger side causing it to drop off the roadway and travel down an embankment before coming to final rest in a ditch. Clark, who was not belted, was partially ejected and transported to Springview Hospital where he was treated and released. Owens, who was belted, was transported to UofL hospital for treatment of injuries.
There were three passengers in the Owens vehicle. Shirley Vancleave, age 20 of Lebanon, was not belted and was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to UofL hospital for treatment of her injuries. Ryasis Vancleave, age 2 of Lebanon, was belted but not in a child restraint and was treated and released at Springview Hospital. Rashawna Vancleave, age 1 of Lebanon, was belted but not in a child restraint and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Marion County Coroner.
Trooper Cornett was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff’s office, Marion County EMS and Sergeant David Gibbs of the Kentucky State Police. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Cornett.
