Merle “Tutor” Benningfield, Age 80

Merle “Tutor” Benningfield of Campbellsville, son of the late Victor Benningfield and Mazy Goodin Benningfield, was born June 15, 1930 in Pekin, Illinois.  He died at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 30, 2010 in Greensburg.  Age: 80

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Andrew Methodist Church.

He was retired manager of Fruit of the Loom Cafeteria in Campbellsville.

He was a member of the Campbellsville Country Club and an avid golfer.

He united in marriage to Aileen Garrison December 25, 1954.

Campbellsville Teen Arrested for Arson

Taylor County Sheriff Dept made an arrest on Friday August 27 after being dispatched to a vechicle fire on Greensburg Road.
Keifer was seen running from the scene and was apprehended by sheriff’s deputies and assisted by Campbellsville Police Dept officers.
Property from the vehicle was found in Mr. Keifer’s pockets.  Witnesses identified Keifer as the perpetrator.
