Kenneth Minor of Campbellsville, son of Nora Lee Edelen Minor and the late Hanley Minor, was born August 27, 1944 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:50 P.M., Monday, May 9th, 2011 in Elizabethtown. Age: 66
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Acton Baptist Church.
He was a member of the Elk Horn Masonic Lodge #568 F & AM.
He was a residential construction contractor.
He united in marriage to Della Ann Wise November 19, 1962.
Besides his wife, Della Ann Minor, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Brad Scalos of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Stephanie Scalos of Louisville, Meredith Scalos and Andrew Scalos of Campbellsville; his mother, Nora Lee Minor of Campbellsville; three sisters: Maxine White and husband, Willie, Connie White and husband, Ronnie and Brenda Watson and husband, Doug of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Kathy Minor of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Minor June 2, 1991.

Leola Sallee of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James H. Mardis and Dellie Sullivan Mardis, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, January 13, 1924. She died at 6:08 P.M., Monday, May 9, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 87
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Joey Sallee November 21, 1945. He preceded her in death April 11, 1993.
She is survived by one brother and three sisters: Thomas Mardis, Louise Bohanon, Bernice Bowen and husband, J. R. and Betty Stearman of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Mardis of Campbellsville and Gwen Sallee of Saybrook, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Charles Mardis and Lela Harmon.

(FRANKFORT, Ky.) – Preliminary statistics* indicate that 13 people died in nine separate crashes on Kentucky’s roadways from Monday, May 2 through Sunday, May 8, 2011.
Eleven of the victims were traveling in motor vehicles. Nine were not wearing seat belts. One of the fatalities was the result of a crash involving alcohol. Two of the fatalities were pedestrians.
Two three-fatality crashes occurred: one in Hickman County and one in Wayne County. Single-fatality crashes occurred in Bourbon, Fayette, Floyd, Jefferson, Madison, Oldham and Pike counties.
Through May 8, preliminary statistics* indicate that 212 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2011. This is 18 fewer than reported for this time period in 2010. Of the 175 motor vehicle fatalities, 102 victims were not wearing seat belts. Of the eight motorcycle fatalities, six were not wearing helmets. Three of the four ATV fatalities were not wearing helmets. Twenty-four pedestrians have been killed. A total of 30 fatalities have resulted from crashes involving the suspected use of alcohol.
Citizens can contribute to highway safety by reporting erratic drivers to the Kentucky State Police toll-free at 1-800-222-5555. Callers will remain anonymous and should give a description of the vehicle, location, direction of travel and license number if possible.
*These statistics are still preliminary as KSP waits for all local law enforcement agencies throughout the state to report any crashes and fatalities that may have occurred in their areas.
