Marvin R. Ellis, age 74, of East Martin Road, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.
He was the son of the late Jess and Grace Taylor Ellis. He was also preceded in death by by one brother, Joseph Ellis and two sisters, Francis Phillips and Ethel Minor. He was a retired employee of Parker-Kalon.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University learned early Friday evening that it will play its first round games of the 2010 NAIA Baseball National Tournament in Joliet, Ill., located 40 miles southwest of Chicago.
The Tigers will be the No. 2 seed in the five-team tournament and will face host team, No. 3 University of Saint Francis in the first round. Cumberland University (Tenn.), ranked No. 2 nationally, will be the No. 1 seed and host the winner of the tournament’s opening game between No. 4 Robert Morris (Ill.) and No. 5. Mayville State (S.D.).
