Winfred Jolly Humphress

Winfred Jolly Humphress of Campbellsville, son of the late John Alvin Humphress and Ruby Eula Peterson Humphress, was born in Adair County, Kentucky on March 24, 1931. He died at 7:14 A.M., Friday, May 12, 2023 in Greensburg.   Age: 92

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Jolly served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a retired employee of Carnation Milk Company and had worked ten years at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He was united in marriage to Elsa Katheryn Lee on December 15, 1951 and she preceded him in death September 18, 2022.

Jolly is survived by two sons and four daughters: Linda and Brent McCubbin, David and Connie Humphress, Patti and Terry Brown, Charlotte Reynolds and companion, Randy Biggs, John Daniel (J.D.) and Anna Humphress and Lisa Humphress Myers; fourteen grandchildren: B. J. and Deanna Newton, Erica McCubbin, Jessica McGregor, Brian and Carrie Humphress, Cameron and Deana Humphress, Conleigh and Josh Graves, Lindsay and Justin Newton, Brittany and Darian Gray, Brehm and Bethany Reynolds, Jesse  and Dr. Rachel Reynolds, Sydney Humphress and fiance’, Dalton Blair, Evan Humphress, Chelsea and Michelle Nelson and Jordan and Richard Hunt; twenty-four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Johnny and Donald Humphress and wife, Charlotte of Campbellsville and Kathleen Campos of California; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Jolly was also preceded in death by two brothers: Guy Eula Humphress and Alvin Hancel Humphress.

Kevin Simmons of Campbellsville, son of John Paul Simmons and Ruby Richards Simmons, was born October 29, 1966 in Mayfield, Kentucky. He died at 5:15 A.M., Sunday, May 14, 2023 in Campbellsville.   Age: 56

Kevin was a Program Manager for Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.

Kevin loved his family fiercely and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to spend time boating, driving his RZR, traveling, keeping his lawn and landscape meticulously maintained, and more than anything he loved being with family.

Kevin is survived by one daughter: Makayla Simmons and her fiancé Dylan Spalding of Lebanon, Kentucky; his parents: John and Ruby Simmons of Lebanon, Tennessee; one sister: Pamela Kay Hogancamp and husband John of Lebanon, Tennessee; nieces and nephews: Jennifer Davis and husband Chris, Audrey Harrington and husband Tank, Aaron Hogancamp and wife Keri, and Joshua Hogancamp and wife Tess; 8 great- nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Evelyne Edelen-Hayden, 51

Evelyne Edelen-Hayden of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late James and Ethel (Osborne) Edelen, was born February 16, 1972 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at her home. She was 51 years of age.

She enjoyed watching her TV shows, drawing and artwork, riding around sightseeing, but most of all, taking care of her little dog Gizmo and watching her hummingbird feeder.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister: Phillip Edelen and Julita Buckman.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Jerry Hayden; a son: Jarrod Thomas Hayden and companion: Katelyn Miller; two sisters and two brothers: Kim Hayden and husband Steve, Tim Edelen and wife Glenda, Regina Shively and husband Jeff and Joseph Edelen; her mother-in-law: Betty Hayden, all of Campbellsville and a host of special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Evelyne Edelen-Hayden will be Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ryder Cemetery in Lebanon.

Family requests visitation after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
