Nona Warren Parrish, 72

Nona Warren Parrish, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late W.C. Warren and June (Wilson) Warren-Sluder, was born October 30, 1950 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at her home. She was 72 years of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Beech Grove Baptist Church and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Clarcor, both in Campbellsville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Lee “Pete” Parrish; three brothers: Mark Warren, Marvin Warren and Charlie “David” Warren.

Survivors include a daughter and son: Leanne Parrish and Chris Parrish and wife Regina, all of Campbellsville.

Also three grandchildren: Megan Burress, Matthew Parrish and wife Salena and Whitney Houchens; three great-grandchildren: Keylee Parrish, Addie Burress and Karlie Jo Parrish and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Nona Warren Parrish will be Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Rev. Freddy Thompson will be officiating

Family requests visitation after 10:30 A.M. on Saturday until time for the service.

Roger Pruitt

Roger Pruitt of Campbellsville, son of the late Roger Pruitt, Sr. and Katherine Varner Lee Pruitt, was born August 22, 1954 in Barren County, Kentucky.  He died at 11:01 A.M., Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Campbellsville.     Age:  69

He professed faith in Christ and attended various churches.

Roger was a retired owner and operator of CarQuest Auto Parts in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Teresa Coffey February 14, 1980 and she preceded him in death August 24, 2013.

He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors.  Roger never met a stranger, loved people and spending time with his family.   He would go out of his way to help people and always supported his community and county.

Roger is survived by two sons:  Justin Pruitt and wife, Tiffany of Campbellsville and Christopher Pruitt (Pam Meredith) of Glasgow; his girlfriend, Debbie McNear of Campbellsville; two grandchildren:  Braxton Pruitt (Sabrina Greene) and Teri Jo Morgan (Dustin Morgan) of Glasgow; five great-grandchildren:  Skylar Morgan, Natalie Morgan, Bryson Morgan, Jaxon Pruitt and Mason Pruitt; one brother and one sister:  Mike Pruitt and wife, Shelia of Glasgow and Sharon Karnes and husband, Kenneth of Hart County; special family friends:  The James Williams Family, Sherry Williams, The Russell Sapp Family and the Richard Burress Family; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Marsha Beard, 76

Obituary

Marsha Beard of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late George Hockings and Edna Waldvogel Hockings, was born January 13, 1947 in Chicago, IL and departed this life on Friday, September 22, 2023 in Campbellsville, KY. She was 76 years of age.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears play football.

She is survived by her husband Richard Beard and two sons: Richard Beard Jr. and wife Michelle of Indiana, and Brett Beard and wife Jamie of Illinois. One brother: William Hockings of Florida, and two grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister: Donna Nelson.

 

The family has chosen cremation and there will be no services.
