Mr. Kenneth J. “Kenny” Eastridge of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Campbellsville. Born in Adair County on August 16, 1948 to the late Calvin and Winnie (Thrasher) Eastridge, he was 70 years, 11 months, and 26 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of New Journey Church. He was employed by the Fruit of the Loom plant until its closure; later, he would retire from the Mago Construction Company as a truck driver.
Mr. Eastridge was naturally coordinated and found success in many hobbies. He was a former pilot and bus driver, and enjoyed hunting and playing golf, horseshoes, and bowling. He was the proud father of two girls, and at an early age, loved sharing time in the woods coon hunting with them. He loved laughing with people, especially children, and always carried candy enough to share. His sly but genuine smile and twinkling eyes usually warranted forgiveness each time he was able to slip an Atomic Fireball to an unsuspecting adult.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Mrs. Galene (Hinton) Eastridge
Two daughters: Shay Graybeal and husband Wes, and Megan Fields and husband James, all of Campbellsville,
Two sisters: Pam Smith and husband Norman of Campbellsville, and Lois Jean Thompson of Somerset,
Five grandchildren: Gavin Graybeal, Aiden Eastridge, Jalen Embry, Kenneth James Fields, and Shailyn Fields,
Step mother-in-law: Betty Hinton of Campbellsville,
Two brothers-in-law: Jimmy Hinton and wife Sandra of Campbellsville, and Jon Montgomery and wife Cheryl of Greensburg,
And a host of other family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Eastridge on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Richard Lowe will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Old Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 13, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
