William “Bill” Blount of Campbellsville, son of the late LeRoy Joseph Blount and Ruth Lillian Hartley Blount, was born June 17, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois. He died at 3:19 P.M., Monday, June 3, 2019 in Elizabethtown. Age: 80
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Bill was a retired employee of Parker Kalon.
He was a gentle, happy person, always singing and whistling. He was known as “Uncle Bill” to many a young person and willing to try and help them any way he could. His hobbies included drawing, painting, cooking, baking, going out to eat and raising birds.
He united in marriage to Cheryl Davis March 8, 1981.
Besides his wife, Cheryl Davis Blount of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter, Kelly DiManche of Houston, Texas; two brothers: Leroy Blount of Morocco, Indiana and David Blount and wife, Cynthia of LaPorte, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Bill was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Robert Blount, Daniel Blount, Jess Blount, Ruth Osborne and Patty Napier.

Mr. Larry Kendall Perkins of Elk Horn, formerly of Shepherdsville, passed from this life on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Louisville at the Norton Audubon Hospital after an extended illness. Born on February 13, 1954 to the late Louis and Daisy Perkins, he was 65 years, 3 months, and 19 days of age. He was a former brick-truck driver having retired only when his health forced him. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Dorlene (Cox) Perkins of Elk Horn,
Two children: Daisy Marie Perkins and James Anthony Perkins,
Two stepchildren: Berry Edward Gribbins and Christy Jo Gribbins-Burris,
Several grandchildren,
And a host of other family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Perkins on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow at a later date in the Highlands Memorial Park in Mt. Washington.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 5, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Mrs. Beverly Joyce Bridgewater of Campbellsville was born on June 24, 1957 to Mrs. Doris Lee (Vaughn) Bridgewater and the late Mr. Edward Allen Bridgewater. She was surrounded by family and friends when she passed from this life on Friday, May 31, 2019 at her home, being 61 years, 11 months, and 7 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church, and was a teacher’s aid in the Campbellsville Independent School Systems.
Mrs. Bridgewater was an outgoing and caring person, and her sweet and kind spirit was highly regarded in the community. She was a talented piano player and lifted many a spirit with her singing. The family time she spent watching sports with her sons or playing with her grandbabies will be cherished for years.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
Her mother: Doris Bridgewater of Campbellsville,
Two sons: Cedric Bridgewater and wife Bobbi, and Shumari Bridgewater and wife Tanya, all of Campbellsville,
Two sisters: Darlene Hazel and husband Lewis of Campbellsville, and Brenda Epperson of Louisville,
Six brothers: Lee A. Bridgewater and wife Colette of New Albany, Indiana, Gary Bridgewater and wife Tonya of Louisville, Kenneth Bridgewater of Louisville, Hollis Bridgewater and wife Tina of Louisville, Wilando Bridgewater and wife Latanaya of Campbellsville, and Craig Bridgewater of Louisville,
Four grandchildren: Tierra Bridgewater, Kenya Bridgewater, Breona Bridgewater, and Makyian Bridgewater,
Her best friend and fiancée: Stanley Perkins of Campbellsville,
And a host of other extended family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Bridgewater on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 426 Fallen Timber Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Rev. Michael Caldwell will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM, and on Saturday after 9:00 AM.
