Alma Newton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Fountain Wise and Mary Ermine Puryear Wise, was born March 14, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:31 P.M., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in Louisville. Age: 80
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Alma was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and also worked in food service.
She united in marriage to Glen Newton November 18, 1953 and he preceded her in death February 24, 2013.
Alma loved her children and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her so much delight; she loved being outdoors where she could raise vegetables and flowers. Alma also loved going to church and going out to eat.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Allen Newton and wife, Janice, Donnie Newton and wife, Alisha and Pam Newton of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren: Lucas Newton and wife, Leticia, Jacob Newton and wife, Cheryl, Clint Newton and wife, Sterling, Hallie Newton, Tyler Akins, Sarah Harmon, Angela Dunn, Malcom Newton, and Michael Newton; eight great-grandchildren: Matthew Newton, Autumn Newton, Gabriel Newton, Raymond Salinas, Leticia Salinas, Josie Dunn, Zach Robertson, and Jasmin Robertson; four sisters: Alice Taylor of Mt. Sherman, Jewell Humphrey and Shirley Mae Wise of Hodgenville and Pat Wise of Michigan; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Glen Harmon and three sisters: Juanita Keeble, Thelma Helen Barnes and Mary Elizabeth Gilbert.

Lorena Glover Workman, (age 89), was born November 1, 1929 in Elk Horn, Kentucky and passed away May 24, 2019 in Orlando, Florida. She was the oldest of 14 siblings. Lorena was a military wife who enjoyed nothing more than preparing lavish Holiday meals for family and a sparkling home environment. For the last many years she has lived in Tampa and Orlando, Florida areas.
Lorena was preceded in death by her husband of (65) years, Harold Workman earlier this year. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles Bryant and Nannie Lee Glover; siblings, Murel, Earl and Henry Glover, and Lucy Allen. She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Varhol of Orlando, Florida and Connie Cascini of Hudson, New Hampshire; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; siblings, Donald Glover, Mary Woodrum, Willard Glover, Dollie Tucker, Garnet Truman Glover, Carol Ann Glover-Fair, David Glover and Barbara Wethington, all of Elk Horn, Kentucky and Norman Glover of Louisville, Kentucky.
Viewing and family visitation for both Harold and Lorena will be held on Saturday, June 1 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
Services will be conducted for both Harold and Lorena at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY on Sunday, June 2 at 2:00 PM with graveside service to follow at the Pine Grove Church cemetery, 454 Pine Grove Church Road, Elk Horn, KY.

Woodford Glen Bottoms, Jr, the son of the late Woodford Glen, Sr and Eula Mae (Hicks) Bottoms, was born Saturday, March 15, 1958 in Taylor County and departed this life on Saturday, May 25, 2019 in Campbellsville at his home. He was 61 years, 2 months and 11 day of age.
Mr. Bottoms spent many years and traveled many miles driving a truck, but when he had time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing poker with his friends, but found most joy spending time with his family and friends and his dog Annie and was of the Baptist Faith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Jason Bottoms.
He is survived by two daughters and a son: Jaclyn “Jackie” Bottoms and fiancé Blake Gabehart, Kari Bottoms and companion Josh Simpson and Chase Bottoms and companion Anna Petty and the mother of his children: Lou Bottoms all of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren: Blake and Haylee Allen, Easton Williams, Bryson Gabehart, Mackenzie and Zehavah Negron, Elyjah Steward, Josh Simpson, Jr “Bud” and Jacob Simpson and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Woodford Glen Bottoms, Jr, will be conducted Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with cremation to follow. Doug Keltner will be officiating.
Family requests visitation after 2:00 P.M. until time for the service.
