William Derrell Willoughby, 57

William Derrell “Willie D” Willoughby, Jr, of Campbellsville the son of William Derrell Willoughby, Sr of Campbellsville and the late Virginia “Jennie” Smothers Willoughby, was born Sunday, May 8, 1960 in Scottsville, KY and departed this life on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Evansville, Indiana at the Select Specialty Hospital. He was 57 years, 4 months and 24 days of age.
He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a former employee for Batesville Casket Company, UPS and Fleetwood all in Campbellsville and loved University of Kentucky sports.
Besides his father he is survived by a sister: Tami Harmon and husband Kevin of Campbellsville; a niece: Sarah Parsons, two nephews: Lucan Parsons and Wyatt Parsons, all of Campbellsville and a host of other relatives and friends.
At the request of “Willie D”, cremation rites were conducted by L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service at this time.

Leona Jean Lane, age 68

Leona Jean Lane, 68 years, 1 month and 8 days of age, died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital after an extended illness.

Leona was born on August 22, 1949 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of the late Homer Ray and Stella Marie Cook Sanders.    Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her In Laws, John K. and Ethel Lane.

After living in Indianapolis for many years, she moved to Campbellsville where she went to worked prior to her retirement as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab, formerly Medco, as well as a cashier for the Family Dollar Store.    She was a member of the General Assembly Church of the First Born.

Leona is survived by her husband, Harold Dee Lane as well as her children, Leon Davis Satterfield of Columbia, Jack Satterfield, Michael Lane, Justin Lane, Sherry Russellburg, Barry Lane and Tammy Ward all of Campbellsville.   Also surviving are her grandchildren, Courtney Imus, Dallas Shuman and Autumn Edward of Campbellsville, Ernie Imus and Matthew Imus of Mayfield, 8 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Patricia Nicalaou and Chiqutia Boyd, both of Indianapolis, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Leona Jean Lane will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Lane and Bro. Marvin Lane officiating.   Burial will follow in Tallow Creek Cemetery.

Visitation for Leona will be at 11:00 a.m. until time for the service on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Sandy Sprowles, age 65

Sandra K. “Sandy” Sprowles, 65 years and 29 days of age, of Campbellsville, died Friday, September 29, 2017 in Louisville.

Sandra was born on August 31, 1952 to the late Fred and Evelyn Bland Porter.   Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, Robbie Lynn Porter as well as her son Bryan Spowles in 1998, and a sister, Debbie Sanders who died in June of 2016.

Survivors include one granddaughter, Shelbie Nicole Rowland, a brother, Steve Porter and his wife Sandy of Campbellsville and one brother-in-law, Russ Sanders of Louisville.  Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Kevin Fallon, Mandy Porter May, Michael Hughes, and the late Ronnie Porter who died in 1998, and great nieces and nephews, Hunter, Chase and Kaylie Burton and Dylan Porter as well as many special friends and relatives.

Services for Sandra K. “Sandy” Sprowles will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3rd, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Sharp officiating.  Burial will follow at Jones Chapel Cemetery with casket bearers being Mike Rafferty, Dylan Porter, Chase Burton, Hunter Burton, Matt Rainwater and Bobby Brown.   Honorary bearers are Jeff Hughes, Russ Sanders and Troy Brown.

The family request visitation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday evening, October 2, 2017 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
