Dorothy Henderson Arnett, age 88

Dorothy Henderson Arnett, age 88, of Campbellsville, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at The Grandview in Campbellsville.

She was born on January 31, 1929 in Green County to the late George Arvin and Elsie Kathryn Akins Henderson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ingram Arnett; a daughter, Doris Lynn Parker a son, Roger Arnett, and a granddaughter, Sandra Lynn Arnett.

She is survived by five sons, Jerry and Stacey Arnett, of Campbellsville, Vincent Arnett of Tennessee, Mark and Phyllis Arnett, of Lexington, Frank and Neva Jean Arnett, and John Arnett of Campbellsville; four daughters, Rita Arnett and Carla Gray of Campbellsville, Debbie and Barry Stearman of Virginia and Rebecca Arnett of Lexington; 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are brothers, Vernon Henderson, Johnny Henderson, and James Henderson of Greensburg and sisters, Catherine Morrison of Greensburg, Hallie Waldridge, of Louisville, Frances Gray of Elizabethtown and Mattie Gray of Louisville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 9th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial to follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers serving are, Robbie VanCleave, Logan Parker, Jeff Parson, Matt Arnett, Greg Arnett and David Cowherd.

The family requests visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

catherine-marie-roseCatherine Marie Rose of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lindsey Rose and Hallie Marie Cox Rose Chaney, was born June 16, 1934, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:07 A.M., Sunday, February 5, 2017 in Frankfort.
Age: 82
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son and two daughters: Bill Robinson and Susan Burress and husband, Jimmy of Campbellsville and Bonnie Collins and husband, Jeff of Dalton, Georgia; five grandchildren: Sharalyn Whitley of Campbellsville, Darian Barrett of Dalton, Georgia, Rebecca Lockhart and husband, Dana of Lexington, Melissa Hunter and husband, Jesse of Taylorsville and Scott Burress of Louisville; four great-grandchildren: Beatrice Lockhart, Micah Hunter, Asher Hunter and Nate Hunter; one brother, Tom Rose and wife, Virginia of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Ruby Rose of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Jimmy Rose and Bobby Lee Rose.

Marsa K. “Mousie” Cox, age 68

Marsa K. “Mousie” Cox, age 68, of Elk Horn passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her home after a short illness.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.  She had worked for General Electric and Fruit of the Loom.  She enjoyed sewing and canning as well as outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting ginseng and mushrooms.

She is survived by her husband Derald Cox, a son, Rondall Cox and his wife, Gail of Elk Horn and a daughter, Lora Baker, and her husband Dean, of Knifley; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Ruby McDonald, of Louisville, Carl Ford, of Shepherdsville, Ina Humphress of Yuma, Galoris Hedgespeth and Lana Ford of Campbellsville, Shirley James of Indiana and Eric Ford and Gary Ford of Campbellsville along with several other relatives.

She was born April 3, 1948 in Taylor County to the late Rue and Bertha Ford and was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Daniel Ford, Ray Ford, Anita Elmore, Wilma Combs, Nadine Ford, Wilbur Ford, Rue Ford, Jr., Ena Hicks and Zelphia Reece.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 7th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Rafferty officiating.  Serving as pallbearers are, Casey Gilbert, Cory Cox, Daniel Whitham, Cody Proffitt, Stephen Furkin, Scott Cochran, David Agee and Tony Cox.  Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

The family requests visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy are suggested to WHAS Crusade for Children and may be made at the funeral home.
