Ricky Roy, 49

Mr. Ricky Lee Roy of the Windsor community in Casey County, formerly of Campbellsville, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Born on January 15, 1968 to the late Kelly Ray and Barbara Ann (Puckett) Roy, he was 49 years, 10 months, and 7 days of age. Mr. Roy suffered many disabilities during his life, but he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

Three siblings: Patricia Sluder and husband Greg of Campbellsville, Rhonda Roy of Campbellsville, and Jamey Roy of Windsor,

And several other extended family members and friends.

There will be a graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Roy on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 1:00 PM EST at the Thomas Ridge, Thomas Ridge Rd, Casey County, KY.

Virginia Lowery, 78

Mrs. Rosie Virginia Lowery of Green County was born on March 8, 1939 to the late Miles and Cecil (Warren) Caulk. She departed this life on Friday, November 24, 2017 at her home, being 78 years, 8 months, and 15 days of age. She professed faith in Christ at a young age and was a member of the Union Separate Baptist Church. Mrs. Lowery believed in the values of hard work, and retired from the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville after forty-plus years of service. She enjoyed living a quiet and peaceful life and took pleasure reading or working in her garden.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Four children: Debbie Henderson and husband Billy of Greensburg, Leon Kessinger and wife Joan of Hodgenville, Ricky Kessinger and wife Mary of Hodgenville, and Chris Lowery of Buffalo,

A stepson: Mark Kessinger and wife Renee of Campbellsville,

Seven grandchildren: Tiffany Brook Cornish and husband J.C., Whitney Kessinger, Emily Kessinger, Ashley Yount, Wesley Kessinger, Allison Kessinger, and Mariah Lowery,

Two sisters: Doriene Clark of Green County, and Doris Estes of Greensburg,

A special friend: Elmer Buck Lowery of Buffalo,

Three great-grandchildren,

And a host of other family and close friends.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Edith Caulk.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Lowery on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro Troy Arnett and Bro. Twyman Davis will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Separate Baptist Church Cemetery, Union Church Rd, Buffalo, KY.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 26, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST (4:00-7:00 PM CST).

James W. Lobb, 81

Mr. James Wallace Lobb left this world on Monday, November 20, 2017 on his final journey. Born in Greensburg to the late Marvin and Minnie (Davis) Lobb on August 4, 1936, he was 81 years, 3 months, and 16 days of age. Mr. Lobb professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1954 graduate of Green County High School, and a long-time employee and retiree of the Tennessee Gas Company. He united in marriage to Mrs. Nina (Thompson) Larimore, who survives.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Nina Lobb, he is also survived by:
Three children: James Taylor “Jim” Lobb and wife Linda of Louisville, JeNie Altman and husband Gerald of Campbellsville, and Patricia Baldwin of Lexington,
Four grandchildren: Caitlin Jackson and husband Britt of Columbia, Erin Mason and husband Will of Cleveland, Ohio, Daniel Lobb and wife Matilde of Louisville, and Jason Baldwin of Campbellsville,
One sister, Rev. Elizabeth Milby of Summersville and a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nannie Ermine Carroll.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Lobb on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Larry Rhodes will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Green County Memory Gardens Cemetery, 4697 Hodgenville Rd, Greensburg, KY.

Donnie DeSpain, 67

Mr. Donnie Everett Despain of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset after an extended illness. Born to the late Sherman and Altha (Allen) Despain on May 30, 1950, he was 67 years, 5 months, and 20 days of age. Though he lived a life of many physical hardships, Mr. Despain enjoyed life. He took pleasure in shooting pool and music, and was a talented guitar and banjo player.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

Four siblings: Frances Cooke of Campbellsville, Larry Despain of Campbellsville, Barbara Bell of Lebanon, and Paul Caulk of Campbellsville,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by three siblings, Brenda Buster, Lerman Despain, and Jimmy Caulk.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Despain on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Nelson-Despain Cemetery, Despain Rd, Campbellsville, KY.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, November 24, from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral.

James Ernest Snyder, 49

James Ernest Snyder, of Liberty, KY, the son of the late Don Snyder and June Sehmiers Holland, was born January 8, 1968 in Moline, Illinois and departed this life on Friday, November 10, 2017 in Liberty at the Casey County Hospital. He was 49 years of age.
He was a former welder and was employed by TG KY in Lebanon at the time of his death.
Survivors include: two brothers: Jason Holland and Ben Holland both of Mississippi.

His cousins: Angela Halmi, Aubrey Ratliff, Cassandra McClure, Jack Ratliff, Kelly Grant, Richard Grant, Roy McClure, Justin McClure, Jake McClure and Bruce McClure and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for James Ernest Snyder will be conducted on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 4:30 P.M. at the McClure Cemetery in the South Fork Community of Casey County with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating.

There will be no public visitation.
