 Donald Cranston “Crank” Farmer, the son of the late Elmer and Sudie Farmer was born Sunday, July 16, 1933 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Elizabethtown at the Hardin memorial Hospital. He was 84 years, 7 months and 27 days of age.
He was a former employee of BP in Campbellsville and Big Johns in Marion County. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the VFW Post in Lebanon and the American Legion in Campbellsville and was of the Presbyterian Faith.
Survivors include his wife: Betty Jean Brown Farmer of Campbellsville; three children: Christine Farmer of Maryland, Greg Veatch and wife Karen of North Carolina, DeWayne Veatch and wife Francine of Tennessee and Lisa Loy of Lebanon; special friends: Mary Lou Stiens and family and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: William and Milton farmer.
The funeral service for Mr. Donald Cranston “Crank” Farmer will be conducted Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Orr officiating.
Entombment in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with full Military Honors by the Casey County Honor Guard.
Family request visitation from 5-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

 Mr. William Larry Willis of Campbellsville was born on May 23, 1952 to Betty Jewell (Bault) Willis and the late Welby Earl “Shorty” Willis. He departed this life on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, being 65 years, 9 months, and 6 days of age. Mr. Willis was a retired teacher for the Taylor County School District, where he had taught English, History, and the Bible as Literature over thirty years. An unfortunate accident in 1971 left him with several physical ailments, but it couldn’t dampen his loving and generous spirit as a father, husband, and friend. His love of learning lead him to attend Campbellsville College and Western Kentucky University, and he was a member of the Kentucky Education Association and the National Education Association. In what free time he found, he enjoyed painting, usually acrylics, and he stayed active in the academic teams, the school newspaper, creative writer’s club, and the chess club. Mr. Willis professed faith in Christ and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Melissa (Rainwater) Willis,
Two children: Miranda Willis and companion Chris Taylor, and Bryce Willis, all of Campbellsville,
His mother: Betty Willis of Campbellsville,
One sister: Joan Tinnell and husband David of Campbellsville,
One grandson: Levi Taylor,
Three local nephews: Jeremy Wood, Josh Wood, and Mitchell Tinnell,
Several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, their children and grandchildren,
A special caregiver: Shari Scully of Campbellsville,
His lapdog: Chubby
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his other lapdog, Chunky.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Willis on Sunday, March 4. 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro Don Gowin will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Green River Memorial Cemetery, 3441 Old Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 3, after 5:00 PM.

 Bro. David Eugene Detty of Campbellsville was born on September 9, 1952 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late David H. and Geraldine (Anderson) Detty. He departed this life on Thursday, February 16, 2018, being 65 years, 5 months, and 6 days of age. Bro. Detty professed faith in Christ and was the current minister of the Southside Christian Church. He was married to Karen (Gower) Detty, who survives. Bro. Detty was a man driven by his convictions, and he held himself accountable for his daily actions. He took pleasure in God’s nature and enjoyed most outdoor activities, from hunting and fishing, to farming and raising crops, to reaching for his potential on the softball fields.
He leaves to carry his legacy:
His wife: Karen Detty of Campbellsville,
One daughter: Jennifer Stetson of Fredericktown, Ohio,
One son: Kenneth Detty of Indianapolis, Indiana,
One brother and one sister: Garry Detty and wife Ellen, and Janet Breckler, all of Mt. Vernon, Ohio,
Two grandchildren: Hunter Espyn Stetson, and Taylor Rose Detty,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cara Ann Detty.
There will be a memorial service to honor the life of Bro. Detty at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Southside Christian Church, 2831 Elkhorn Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Mr. Kenneth Detty and Bro. Fella Wilson will be officiating. His ashes will be interred in Ohio at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, Feb. 21, after 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the Southside Christian Church which can be made at the funeral home or the church on Wednesday.

 Mr. Archie E. Brown of Campbellsville was born on October 22, 1946 to the late Jolie and Angie Eythel (Stanton) Brown. He departed this life on Monday, February 12, 2018 at his home after a sudden illness. He was 71 years, 3 months, and 21 days of age. Mr. Brown professed faith in Christ and attended the Beulahland Community Church. He was a retired truck driver and the husband of Bea (Corbin) Brown, who survives.
He leaves to cherish his memory:

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Brown on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY.

 Mr. Gary Wayne Stapleton of Elkhorn passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Otterbein Senior Life Center in Franklin, Indiana. Born on June 30, 1945 in Adair County to the late Dempsey and Mary Eunice (Scott) Stapleton. He was 73 years, 7 months, and 11 days of age. Mr. Stapleton retired from the road after several years as a truck driver. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a talented woodcarver and painter, and had a knack for repairing small engines, and loved collecting trinkets and building handmade toys.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
Four sons: Bradley Stapleton and wife Debi, Jerry Stapleton and wife Lisa, Jody Stapleton and wife Britany, and Randall Stapleton, all of Indiana,
Ten siblings: Bennett Stapleton and wife Wanda of Indiana, Carolyn Fowler and husband Larry of South Carolina, Wilbur Scott and wife Teresa of Campbellsville, Rita Seaborne and husband Junior of Campbellsville, James “Jim” Scott of Indiana, Darrell Scott and wife Sandy of Columbia, Frances Edwards and husband Doug of Danville, Jane Elliot of North Carolina, Margaret Luckett and husband Steve of Lebanon, and Renita Mays and husband Scott of Campbellsville,

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilma (Woodall) Stapleton, five siblings, Joyce Thompson, Lewis Scott, twins Shirley Gail Scott and Larry Dale Scott, and Sherry Lynn Scott.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Stapleton on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Darrell Tucker will be officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Callahan Cemetery, 4571 Speck Ridge Rd, Feathersburg, Adair County, Kentucky, 42733.
