Charles E. “Chick” Graham

Charles E. “Chick” Graham of Campbellsville, son of the late Clarence Graham and Lizzie Richerson Graham, was born November 12, 1926 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 11:33 P.M., Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in Campbellsville.  Age:  95

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was the owner and operator of Graham’s Grocery for twenty-three years and was a retired employee of the United States Post Office after twenty-three years of service.

He united in marriage to Peggy Newton September 24, 1949.

Besides his wife, Peggy Graham of Campbellsville, he is survived by a sister, Mildred Ann Pierce; two nephews:  Jonathan Pierce of Nicholasville and Jason Pierce of Johnson City, Tennessee; special friends:  Peggy and Mike Ware, Gayle and Greg Whitley, Peggy and J. C. Lawson and Shirley and Allen Young of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Merlin Graham.

Stacy Renee Ford

Stacy Renee Ford of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of Judith Ann Humphress Ford and the late Randy Ford, was born April 28, 1977, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died Monday, May 9, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age:  45

She was an employee of Kaelin’s Restaurant.

Stacy is survived by two daughters:  Kailey Witham and Lillian Abigail Witham;  her mother, Judy Ford of Campbellsville; one granddaughter, Braelyn McVay; one brother and one sister:  Chad Ford and husband, Adam Evans and Leigh Hays and husband, Dr. Phil Hays; Grandparents, Leonard “Starchy” Ford and wife, Sue; Special Aunt, Cathy Newton and husband, Jeff; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Geraldine Cox

Geraldine Cox of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Clarence “Jake” Gaddis and Gracie Ann Cox Gaddis, was born June 19, 1939, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 7:40 A.M., Friday, May 13, 2022 in Louisville.   Age: 82

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Stoner Creek United Methodist Church.

Geraldine was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after 39 years of service.

She united in marriage to James Cox on July 11, 1987.

Geraldine loved her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was a great cook.

Geraldine was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Corbin, on November 12, 2019, and a brother, Herald Gaddis.

Besides her husband, James Cox of Campbellsville, she is survived by two grandchildren:  Trista Corbin Moss and husband, Ryan, of Bardstown, and Thomas “Blake” Corbin and wife, Jamie of Elk Horn; four great-grandchildren:  Cora Moss, Aria Corbin, Lincoln Corbin and Lilly Moss; two brothers:  A.D. Gaddis and wife, JoAnn,  and Paul Gaddis and wife, Donna of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Ann Gaddis of Campbellsville, a son-in-law, Tommy Corbin of Campbellsville, a step-daughter, Lisa McFall of Campbellsville, two step-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Carolyn McMahan Woods

Carolyn McMahan Woods of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Finis McMahan and Nona Hinton McMahan, was born September 27, 1941 in Green County, Kentucky.  She died at 4:45 A.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age: 80

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Carolyn was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and had been a manager of Pizza Hunt in Virginia for fifteen years.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and tried to never miss a reunion.  She liked to dance and even her 80th birthday party was a lot of fun. Carolyn liked to do crafts in her free time and was known for making elaborate churches and houses and wedding cakes.

She united in marriage to William Woods and he preceded her in death February 10, 1999.

She is survived by two daughters:  Darla Owenby and husband, Jack of Murphy, North Carolina and Saundra Toll and husband, Bill of McCormick, South Carolina; five grandchildren: Kenda Killion and husband, Chris, Brandon Brown, Shannon Troutman and husband, Kyle, Ashley Neyra and husband, Zack, Christin Holtzclaw and husband, Jordan; seven great-grandchildren: Kylie Killion, Kayden Troutman, Liam Troutman, Rylee Holtzclaw, Wyatt Neyra, Noah Neyra and Lexi Brown; two sisters:  Barbara Kerr Murphy and husband, George of Campbellsville and Juanita Feamster and husband, Allan of Newbury Park, California; a brother-in-law, Darrel Cox of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister:  Randall McMahan and Rebecca Cox.

Robert Thomas “Bobby” Roots

Robert Thomas “Bobby” Roots of Campbellsville, son of the late William Thomas and Dollie Cave Roots was born August 27, 1939  in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 8:33 A.M., Friday, May 6, 2022 in Campbellsville.  Age: 82.

He professed faith in Christ and was a lifetime member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. Bobby was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom where he worked in the cutting room from the time he was in high school until its closing. Bobby also served the citizens of Taylor County as a Magistrate on the Fiscal Court for 37 years. He united in marriage to Judy Watson on April 27, 1962.

Besides his wife, Judy Watson Roots of Campbellsville, Bobby is survived by one son and one daughter: Robert Douglas Roots and wife, Wanda of Columbia, Kentucky and Sue Bowen and husband, Greg of Glasgow, Kentucky. Seven grandchildren: Alex Sexton and husband, Jamie and Samantha Benedict and husband, Jeff of Somerset, Kentucky, Whitney Roots of Lancaster, Kentucky, Keri Bowen Mosier and husband, Ryan and Grant Bowen and wife, Brittany of Glasgow, Kentucky: Kevin Cowan and wife, Tammy of Tennessee and Angie Cowan of Columbia Kentucky.  Eight great-grandchildren: Zachary Benedict, Peyton Benedict, Zander Sexton, Blakely Mosier, Jaxson Rainwater, Makenna Cowan, Keiley Williams and husband, Cody, Adam Baker and expectant baby boy Bowen. Great-great-grandchildren: Emma Grace Williams and Jase Cowan. One brother Lawrence Roots and wife, Linda of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law Joe Watson and wife, Viola of Campbellsville; a very special caretaker Shannon Kreebs; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a sister Joyce Hubbard.
