Benjamin Lee Burton, 27

        Benjamin Burton, age 27, of South Central Avenue, Campbellsville, died Thursday , June 17, 2010 at University of Louisville Hospital.

         He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Irene Cox.

         He is survived by his father , Roger Burton and mother,  Connie Burton both of Campbellsville, one daughter, Leha Green of Indiana, one brother, Wade Burton of Campbellsville, two sisters, Amy Harrison of Louisville and Cassie Tungate of Illinois, grandparents, George W. Cox of Elkhorn, Kyle Burton of Columbia, Margie Stigall of Campbellsville,  special cousin, Christopher Cox of Campbellsville and special friends, Terry McDonald and Brittany Milby.  Also surviving are uncles, aunts and host of friends.

         Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Monday, June 21, 2010 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Kentucky’s jobless rate drops to 10.4 percent in May

FRANKFORT, Ky.  — Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary unemployment rate fell to 10.4 percent in May 2010 from a revised 10.6 percent in April 2010, according to the Office of Employment and Training (OET), an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.

Nolan Richard “Dick” Jenkins of Campbellsville, son of the late John Allen and Maybel Peavey Allen and later adopted by the late Marvin Jenkins and Pearl Dixon Jenkins, was born in Jacksonville, Florida, November 17, 1933. He died at 12:45 A.M., Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in Campbellsville.  Age:   76
