Sis. Mildred Richardson McGinnis of Campbellsville entered into rest on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Born in the Low Gap community of Adair County on July 18, 1936 to the late James Gordon and Mattie Lee (Pierce) Coomer, she was 82 years, 9 months, and 25 days of age.
As a young lady, she met Cecil “Red” Richardson, and they united in marriage in 1953. They would remain a devoted couple until his death in 2003. She would later marry Chuck McGinnis, who survives.
Sis. McGinnis retired from the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville, having worked there over thirty years. Her life’s work, however, lay in trying to make heaven her home – and from that calling, she never wavered.
