Thomas William Sprowles, 52

Thomas William Sprowles, of Campbellsville, the son of Vernice Sprowles Carnes of Campbellsville and the late Thomas Ervine Sprowles, was born Monday, January 11, 1965 in Glasgow and departed this life on Saturday in Campbellsville at his home. He was 52 years, 4 months and 30 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the God’s Grace Church in Campbellsville. He was a former contractor, a farmer and former employee of Cox Interiors. He enjoyed owning and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, loved working on anything that needed fixing and in spare time making cherry furniture.

Besides his mother he is survived by three daughters: Mykah Wyatt and companion Chris Cook and Caneyah Bowen all of Campbellsville, Gracelyn O’Rafferty of Bardstown; a son: Talon Gage Owens of Springfield; half-brother and sister: Larry Akin and wife Delora, Kenneth Sprowles, Joyce Summers and Glen Sprowles.

Also surviving are step-brothers and sister: Dennis Carnes and wife Viola of Indianapolis, Indiana, Robert Carnes and wife Patty of , Michigan, and Clifford Larry Carnes and wife Mamie of Greensburg and: Robin Burton and husband Gary of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Elyjah Wheeler, Alley Wheeler and Camreon Crowdus and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a half sister: Genia Sherrill.

The funeral service for Thomas William Sprowles, will be Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Billy Adams will be officiating.

Visitation after 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Andrea Caldwell, 41

Mrs. Andrea Brooke Caldwell, daughter of Roger Fred Zykan and Nancy (Ortega) Allen was born on March 29, 1976 in Burbank, California. She departed this life on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her home in Campbellsville after a brave battle with cancer. She was 41 years, 2 months, and 12 days of age. Mrs. Caldwell professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She was the wife of Shannon Caldwell, who survives. Mrs. Caldwell enjoyed life and took pleasure in everyday things such as walking, coloring, or just relaxing in front of her TV.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Eight brothers and sisters: Peter Zykan of Campbellsville, Ronnie Wilson of California, Rachael Zykan of Indiana, and Shawn Allen and wife Ginger, Brian Allen, Tommy Allen, and Sabrina Allen, all of Campbellsville, and Amy Cowherd of Fredricksburg,

Eleven grandchildren,

And a host of other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Caldwell on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Robert Hughes will be officiating. At the request of Mrs. Caldwell, cremation rites will be accorded her after the funeral.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 12, after 4:00 PM until time for the service.

Al Lackey of Campbellsville, son of the late Charlie B. Lackey and Nellie Francis Gibbons Lackey, was born March 13, 1939, in Cumberland County, Kentucky. He died at 7:50 A.M., Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 78
He professed faith in Christ and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Al was a retired, self-employed electrical contractor.
He united in marriage to Shirley Mae Skaggs January 17, 1961 and she preceded him in death October 6, 2009.
He is survived by one son and two daughters: Brad Lackey and wife, Connie of Campbellsville, Sherry Edwards and husband, Ricky of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Desiree Lackey of Oklahoma; grandchildren: B. J. Lackey, Keith Lackey, Cody Edwards and wife, Emily, Mallory Edwards, Tiffany Edwards, Jeremy Edwards and Helen Nance; two great-grandchildren: Alexia Lackey and Saphira Everly; two brothers and one sister: Lewis Lackey of Montgomery, Illinois, Hubert Lackey of Aurora, Illinois and Sue O’Banion of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: John Lackey, Gil Lackey, Charlie Lackey, Tommy Lackey, Gladys Tate and Rosie Thompson.
