Larry Junior Cox, 66

Mr. Larry Junior Cox of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Born on July 31, 1951 to the late L.A. and Helen (Dudgeon) Cox, he was 66 years and 27 days of age. Mr. Cox professed faith in Christ and was a member of Farmers Chapel Church of God. He was a truck driver and retired from RoadWay Freight with several million safely-driven miles behind him. He loved his family and being around people, and was a regular at Druther’s Restaurant.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His wife: Peggy (Price) Cox of Campbellsville,

One son: Michael Cox and wife Amanda of Greensburg,

A sister and brother: Wanda Cox of Campbellsville, and Tim Cox and wife Tammy of Indianapolis, Indiana,

Two grandchildren: Reece Cox and Briley Cox, both of Greensburg,

A brother-in-law: Bobby Price and wife Monica of Campbellsville,

A sister-in-law: Beverly Davis of Campbellsville,

And a host of extended family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by three siblings, Barbara Cowherd, Chris Pile, and Terry Cox, and a sister-in-law, Janet Campbell.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Cox on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Colin McDaniel will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 29, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST (4:00-7:00 CST).

Arnold Ray Pierce, 77

Arnold Ray Pierce, the son of the late Homer and Ella Jessie Pierce, was born May 3, 1940 in Columbia and departed this life on Friday, August 25, 2017 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 77 years of age.
He was a former factory worker and was of the Baptist Faith. Arnold loved watching western movies and wrestling.
Survivors include three daughters: Jean Reagan and husband Philip of Paris, TN, Kimberly Pierce of Lebanon, KY and Tracie Watson and husband Kyle of Hendersonville, TN; two sisters: Dorothy Cowan and Louise Murrell both of Columbia; two brothers: H.E. Pierce of Scottsville and Bobby Pierce of TN.
Also surviving are four grandchildren: Cody Pierce, Hunter Reagan, Levon Watson and Julie Watson; three great-grandchildren: Lilith Pierce, Isaac Pierce and Amelia Reagan and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, her was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond Pierce, Earl Pierce and a sister: Pearl Hammon.

The funeral service for Arnold Ray Pierce will be conducted Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM EST 12 CST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with cremation to follow.
Visitation after 11 AM EST 10 AM CST on Sunday at the funeral home.

Charles Cusumano, 73

Mr. Charles Arvid Cusumano of Campbellsville was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 23, 1943 to the late Carl VanMiller and Edith Ann-Marie (Johnson) Cusumano. He departed this life on Wednesday, August 24, 2017 at his home after an extended illness. He was 73 years, 10 months, and 1 day of age. He was a Physician’s Assistant and was employed at the Taylor Regional Hospital and a retiree of the Muhlenberg Community Hospital. A graduate of the inaugural class of Physician’s Assistants at Cornell University, Mr. Cusumano was a well-traveled, educated, creative, and caring man, and he opened his heart and home to several friends and international students. He was married to his sweetheart, Sandra (Foos) Cusumano, over 37 years. She survives. He was a talented drummer with a passion for “big band” music of the 1920’s and 30’s, an avid Chicago Bears fan, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was a former professor for the University of Kentucky, a founding Fellow of the Cornell Weill PA program, and a member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants, and several other professional organizations.

Besides his wife, he is also survived by:

Two children: Carl Alexander of Deland, Florida, and Andrea Meryl of Edgewater, Florida,

A sister: Lisa Knight of Atlantic Highlnds, New Jersey,

A brother: Robert Cusumano and wife Mary Patrice of Marshfield, Massachusetts,

A niece and nephew: Jocelyn Renee Knight and Eduardo Torres, both of New Jersey,

Four grandchildren: Katlyn Allen, Carmen Cusumano, Raelyn Cusumano, and Rhiannon Cusumano,

A close buddy and former brother-in-law: Albert “Bo” Knight of Maplewood, New Jersey,

Friends and international students: Helene Edflak, Ingella Strindvall, Lisa Rieman, Maxi Gehrmann, and Gloria Laforgia,

And a host of other relatives and close friends.

Mr. Cusumano chose cremation, and there will be a private family service at a later date in New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River or the Arrow Foundation Pet Rescue. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.
