John R. McVay of Campbellsville, son of the late Russell McVay and Velma Katherine Russell McVay, was born March 19, 1943 in Taylor County. He died at 8:25 P.M., Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 75
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
John was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
He enjoyed pitching horse shoes and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids.
He united in marriage to Helen Cox August 4, 1961.
Besides his wife, Helen McVay, he is survived by one son and two daughters: John McVay and wife, Kim, Lisa Cave and husband, Kevin and Debbie Tungate and husband, Martin; four grandchildren: Wade Cave, Lydia Cave, Brayden McVay and Brianna McVay; two brothers: Tommy McVay and wife, Margaret and Randy McVay and wife, Mary, all of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Lorena Lewis Cochran of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Howard Gray and Mildred Tava Canada Gray, was born January 21, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:43 P.M., Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 80
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.
Lorena was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She enjoyed sewing at home and was a member of the Red Hatters.
She united in marriage to Wallace Lewis January 16, 1960 and he preceded her in death June 15, 1992.
She is survived by two daughters: Marlene Harper and husband, Sam and Cindy Murphy of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Chris Harper and wife, Tabitha, Nikki Allen and husband, John, J. R. Murphy and Paige Murphy of Campbellsville; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister: Donald Gray and wife, Patricia, Raymond Gray and wife, Betty, Gary Wayne Gray and wife, Patricia and Mabel Karnes and husband, Ronnie of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Leon Gray and Joyce Bault Watkins.

Rev. Ivy Carole Brasher Ferree went to her Heavenly home on January 11, 2019. She joins her husband, Rev. Ron Ferree, her parents, W. D. and Mable Brasher, a brother, Charles, and other friends and relatives.
Carole was born on March 23, 1949 and grew up in Milan, Tennessee. She married her high school sweetheart, Ron Ferree in 1966. They had one child, Felicia Carole Ferree Miller.
Carole received her Master’s degree in Social Work and worked as Licensed Clinical Social Worker for years at Adanta Clinical Services. She retired in 2009 from Adanta. Since 2014, she has been the Executive Director of Phoenix Way working with adult individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Carole was also an ordained minister in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In the 90s, she served as Pastor in Beaver Dam and the Perryville church. Over the years, she had done pulpit supply and felt this was where her greatest service to the Lord would be.
Carole leaves on this earth: one brother, Mickey Brasher of Milan, Tennessee; Felicia Ferree Miller, daughter; four grandkids: Sgt. Dakota Meyer, Tim Gilliam, Marissa Gilliam and Talia Crabtree and husband, Shawn; seven great-grandkids: Sailor Meyer, Kayden Crabtree, Elaina Gilliam, Atlee Meyer, Keaton Crabtree and Baylor and Benjamin Ratchford; one companion, Kenny Clements.

 Juanita Joyce Forbes, of Lebanon, the daughter of the late Austin C and Anna Mae (Zich) Hunter, was born Sunday, January 6, 1946 in Evanston, Illinois and departed this life on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Campbellsville at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab. She was 73 year and 5 days of age.
She worked for many years on a turf farm and raised her step-children: Sandy, Cathy, Shelly and Robbie and was a homemaker in her later years. She enjoyed painting and computer games.
Besides her step-children, she is survived by a sister and caregiver: Rita Faye Blake of Lebanon, a brother: William (Bill) Spencer Hunter and wife Twyla of Cleveland, Mississippi; her nieces and nephews: Angeline Connor, Seth Owen McDowell, Daniel Blake, David Harrin and wife Tara and Wendy Groce and husband Clint.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Earl Hunter.
The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Centertown, KY where she will be laid to rest with her parents in the Small Hous Cemetery.

 Mr. Richard James Gregory of Greensburg passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Jane Todd Hospital. Born on April 7, 1969, he was 49 years, 8 months, and 29 days of age. He was a retired veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Rod Lowe American Legion Post #124. He had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was of the Christian faith.
He leaves to mourn his passing:

One daughter: Ashley Gregory of Greensburg,
A brother: Johnny Gregory of Florida,

 Mrs. Susan Faye Arnett of Campbellsville passed from this life on January 10, 2019 at her home after an extended illness. Born on October 13, 1946 in Mt. Sterling to the late Bryce and Gladia (Holbrook) Arnett, she was 72 years, 2 months, and 28 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Arnett was a compassionate lady, and had earned a degree of Master of Science in Nursing. She was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and served her country honorably in the United States Air Force.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
One son: Robert Campbell of Campbell of Campbellsville,
One sister: Brenda K. Arnett of Ohio,
And a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Laura Adams Gabehart of Campbellsville, daughter of Faye Berry Adams and the late Kenneth Lee Adams, was born July 3, 1963 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:20 A.M., Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in Lexington. Age: 55
She professed faith in Christ and was a charter member of Heaven Bound Community Church where she was also the pianist and music director.
Laura earned an Associate Degree in Business and a Bachelors of Psychology and was an employee of Active Day in Campbellsville. Helping people was one of Laura’s callings and she was very passionate about the people that she helped. In her spare time, she liked to crochet and spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She united in marriage to Todd Gabehart June 24, 1982.
Besides her husband, Todd Gabehart of Campbellsville, she is survived by three sons:
C. J. Gabehart and wife, Mary, Travis Gabehart and Wayne Draper and fiancée, Katie Hitchcock; two grandchildren: Emilee Alexis Gabehart and Justin Stanley Gabehart; her mother, Faye Adams; one sister, Cheryl Davis and husband, Joseph; one aunt, Linda Berry, all of Campbellsville; two nephews: Tyler Cruse and wife, Savannah of Lexington, South Carolina and Jake Cruse and wife, Tempestt of Ashland City, Tennessee; one great-nephew and one great-niece: Lucian Cruse and Jaylee Cruse of Lexington, South Carolina and many other relatives and friends.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter: Ethan South, Conner South, Mason South and Madison South of Campbellsville; her mother, Charlotte Bratcher and step-father Leroy Bratcher, whom she loved like a father, two sisters: Amanda Whitehead and husband, Allen of Campbellsville and Andrea Brown of Danville; two step-brothers and one step-sister: Wesley Bratcher and wife, Melanie of Danville, Todd Bratcher of Bowling Green and LeeAnne Bratcher Coy of Mt. She united in marriage to James Beard in 1987.

 Mrs. Karen Denise Benningfield of Campbellsville was born on October 21, 1954 to the late James “Jig” and Emma Helen (Warren) Benningfield. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, being 64 years, 2 months, and 12 days of age. Mrs. Benningfield had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church. She was a fun-loving, kind-hearted, outgoing, independent lady, and an inspiration to her family and friends. She was fiercely proud of her abilities, and loved the time spent on the road driving a semi truck. Her encouraging heart will be dearly missed by those she held dear.
She leaves to carry her legacy:
Two sons: Brad Bloyd and wife Amy of Campbellsville, and Kyle Matthew Bloyd and companion Cecile of Greensburg,
Three sisters: Pam Thompson and husband Dewey of Campbellsville, Shane McCoy and husband Dennie of Fairdale, and Shawn McCorkle and husband Troy of Vine Grove,
A brother: James Aaron Benningfield and wife Donna of Hodgenville,
Two half siblings: Diann Benningfield, and J.C. Benningfield,

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Benningfield on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Jason Keltner will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Old Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY.
