Frances Curry of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Joe Henry Walters and Clara Sublett Walters, was born January 26, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:48 P.M., Friday, November 17, 2017 in Louisville. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong, active member of Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Even though Frances had spent a few years working as a clerk in different retail stores, she considered herself very fortunate to be able to spend most of her time with the groups she enjoyed such as the Harmony Homemakers, the Taylor Regional Hospital Auxiliary and the DAV Auxiliary.
She united in marriage to Lyman Curry on February 18, 1950 and he preceded her in death May 24, 1994.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Malone and husband, Ronnie of Elkhorn; two grandchildren: Missy Dixon and husband, Steve of Knifley and Jamie Malone and companion, Jackie Penick of Campbellsville; five great-grandchildren: James Dylan Malone, Jarett McKay Malone, Mariah Leigh Shively, Mason Wayne Dixon and McKenzie Brooke Dixon; one sister, Pauline Williams of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Frances was preceded in death by three brothers: Horace “Shorty” Walters, James Walters and Charles Walters.

James Ernest Snyder, of Liberty, KY, the son of the late Don Snyder and June Sehmiers Holland, was born January 8, 1968 in Moline, Illinois and departed this life on Friday, November 10, 2017 in Liberty at the Casey County Hospital. He was 49 years of age.
He was a former welder and was employed by TG KY in Lebanon at the time of his death.
Survivors include: two brothers: Jason Holland and Ben Holland both of Mississippi.
His cousins: Angela Halmi, Aubrey Ratliff, Cassandra McClure, Jack Ratliff, Kelly Grant, Richard Grant, Roy McClure, Justin McClure, Jake McClure and Bruce McClure and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service for James Ernest Snyder will be conducted on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 4:30 P.M. at the McClure Cemetery in the South Fork Community of Casey County with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating.
There will be no public visitation.

Lester Wallace Burress, 93 years, 10 months, and 25 days of age, of Elk Horn, died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at UK Medical Center in Lexington following a brief illness.
Lester was born December 17, 1923, to the late Lloyd and Molly Seaborne Burress in Taylor County, Kentucky. Also preceding him in death were two sons, Roger Burress and Steve Burress; brothers, Harold Burress and Tommy Burress and two sisters, Lillie Pointer and Edna Herron. L.W. as he was known to many was a retired farmer and loved to coon hunt. He was U.S. Army veteran and a member of Feathersburg First Church of God.
Lester is survived by his wife, Burdis McDonald Burress as well as his children, Jerry Burress and his wife, Edith, Freddy Burress and his wife, Patty, Henry Burress and Inetta Childress and her husband, Larry, all of Elk Horn, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Bobby Lee Burress and his wife, Dorothy, and his sisters Christine Wise, Shirley Chelf and her husband, Richard and Loretta Gaddis, all of Elk Horn.
The funeral service for Mr. Burress will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Atwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Callahan Cemetery.
The family requests visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
