Nevelda Gribbins of Lebanon, the daughter of the late Arvin and Leoda (Garrett) Gribbins, was born July 11, 1961 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at her home. She was 60 years of age.
She was a former employee of Jane and Linda Sportswear and Creations Screen printing. She also worked at Goodwill and Dollar General in Campbellsville and was of the Baptist Faith.
Nevelda enjoyed reading, flowers, gardening, puzzels and TV cooking shows.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers: Dorine Gribbins, Martin, Clayton and Michael Gribbins; a longtime companion: Larry Clements and special friend: Gary Brown.
Survivors include a brother: Sonny Gribbins and wife Bonnie of Willisburg; a sister: Debbie Humphress and husband Chat of Campbellsville and a host of nieces and nephews include one special niece Rhonda Bright and husband Larry and a host of friends including: Jimmy Brown.
The funeral service for Nevelda Gribbins will be Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery at Clementsville Cemetery.
Bro. Jeff Newton will be officiating.
Visitation on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

John Lee of Elizabethtown, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Shelby Smith Lee and Barilla Gore Lee, was born November 14, 1942 in Christian County, Kentucky. He died at 12:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in Glasgow. Age: 79
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Coral Hill Baptist Church in Glasgow. John was a retired employee of GTE after twenty-nine years of service and a former employee of NAPA Auto Parts. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dancing, and sharing the word of God. He united in marriage to Faith Sublett March 16, 1963. Besides his wife, Faith Lee of Campbellsville, John is survived by one son and one daughter: Mike Lee and wife, Becky of Glasgow and Terri McKinney and husband, Chris of DeWitt, Michigan; three grandchildren: Charity Barnes of Georgetown, Kate McKinney of Williamsburg, Virginia and Ryan McKinney of DeWitt, Michigan; one great-granddaughter, Kenzie Barnes of Bowling Green; step-mother-in-law, Minnie Sublett of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
John was preceded in death by his father, Shelby Smith Lee; his mother, Barilla Gore Lee; two brothers: Shelby Smith Lee, Jr. and Robert E. Lee and his mother-in law, Fannie Knuckles Sublett and his father-in-law, Claude Sublett.

David J. Whitt, Jr., 78, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late David J. Whitt, Sr., and Bessie Whitt, was born November 30th, 1943, in Inez, Kentucky, and departed this life on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, at his home in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
He professed his faith in Christ and was of Baptist faith. David was a retired stone masonry where he built beautiful walls, columns, and arches. He was a simple man who loved to garden and play his guitar.
Survived by his wife, Thelma Crum Whitt, whom he united in marriage to on July 6th, 2006.
David is also survived by:
Five sons: Aaron Whitt and his wife, Cally, of Winchester, Kentucky; William Milburn and his wife, Cyndi, of Campbellsville; Michael Milburn of Campbellsville; Cecil Milburn and his significant other, Christina Pica of Campbellsville; and Anthony Milburn, of Campbellsville.
Fourteen grandchildren.
Eleven siblings. (Names will be forthcoming from family).
Besides his parents, David is preceded in death by:
One son: Willie Charles Milburn, June 23rd, 2019.
VISITATION: Saturday, May 28th, 2022, from 5p-8pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home & Cremation Services in downtown Campbellsville.

Joe Beard of Campbellsville, son of Delious and Margarett Beard, was born August 3, 1940 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 2:38 P.M., Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.
Joe was a lifelong farmer. He loved his Lord and family and was a people person. He also enjoyed pulling tractors.
He united in marriage to Mildred Gaines March 1, 1981.
Besides his wife, Mildred Beard of Campbellsville, Joe is survived by one son and three daughters: Cheri Parke, Robbie Beard and wife, Vera and Bobbi Lynn Faulkner and husband, Dean of Campbellsville and Alison Starcher and husband, Jeremy of Florence; a bonus son, Jeremy Hogan of Texas; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren;
one sister, Patti Benningfield and husband, Roger of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law, George Gupton of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Joe was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn B. Gupton and a son-in-law, Michael Parke.

Mark Pike of Campbellsville, son of Edward Pike and the late Carolyn Gabehart Dicken, was born June 5, 1962 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at Friday, May 20, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 59
Mark was a lieutenant at the Taylor County Detention Center having worked there since it opened in 2008.
He was a sports enthusiast; his favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Astros. He loved sitting in his favorite chair with his constant companion, Calleigh.
He united in marriage to Maria Melton June 14, 1997.
Besides his wife, Maria Pike of Campbellsville, Mark is survived by one son, Andrew Pike of Campbellsville; his father, Edward Pike of Campbellsville; one sister, Kimberly Stillwell and husband, Raymond of Mt. Sherman; one brother, Rongie Dicken and wife, Nicole of Campbellsville; his mother-in-law, Lois Melton; two brothers-in-law: Chuck Melton and wife, Sharon and Mike Melton and wife, Catherine of Campbellsville;
Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Carl Ray Cox of Campbellsville, the son of the late William Omar and Laura Mae (Pendygraft) Cox was born March 3, 1935 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. He was 87 years of age.
He was a former plumber, a Lieutenant for the Louisville Metro Police Department in the 1980’s and was of the Baptist Faith.
He united in marriage to Ruth Ann (Edelyn) Cox, who preceded him in death.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son: Ronnie Cox; seven brothers and sisters: Earl Cox, Margaret King, William Carroll “Bill” Cox, Charles Cox, Geraldine Cox, Wanda Dennison and June Cox.
Survivors include seven children: Allen Cox and wife Rebecca of Bardstown, David Cox and wife Tammy and Debra Meyhew both of Louisville, Teresa Hunt of Lebanon, Anna Harris and companion Raymond Jody) and Danny Cox both of Campbellsville and Missy Reynolds and husband Jim of Maine; seventeen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; special friends: Ellis Bryant and Randall Rafferty and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Carl Ray Cox will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the St. Francis De Sales Cemetery in the Spurlington Community.

Remington Margaret “Remi” Waldridge, age 2 months, the daughter of James Lucas Waldridge and Alexa Gutierrez of Campbellsville was born March 7, 2022 in Marion County and departed this life on May 18, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital.
Survivors include her father: Lucas Waldridge; her mother: Alexa Gutierrez; two sisters: Kacelyn and Zaryiah.
Also surviving are her grandparents: Michelle and Bo Franklin and Patricia and Jimmy Ferguson; her great-grandparents: Sherman and Marilyn Dudley and Jim Ferguson and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

Sheila Marie Oakes, the infant daughter of Mark Andrew and Cora Marie (Greenwell) Oakes, was stillborn Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Lebanon at the Springview Hospital.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was the owner and operator of Graham’s Grocery for twenty-three years and was a retired employee of the United States Post Office after twenty-three years of service.
He united in marriage to Peggy Newton September 24, 1949.
Besides his wife, Peggy Graham of Campbellsville, he is survived by a sister, Mildred Ann Pierce; two nephews: Jonathan Pierce of Nicholasville and Jason Pierce of Johnson City, Tennessee; special friends: Peggy and Mike Ware, Gayle and Greg Whitley, Peggy and J. C. Lawson and Shirley and Allen Young of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Merlin Graham.

Gary Lynn “Bones” Spurling, of the Black Gnat Community of Taylor County, the son of the late Omer and Dorothy (Glenn) Spurling, was born January 10, 1944 in Taylor County and departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at his home. He was 78 years of age.
He was a former school bus driver for the Taylor County Board of Education.
Bones, as he was known mostly by enjoyed fishing, camping, trading a few antiques and was often seen on a vacant lot selling fresh produce, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends and his furry companion, Annie.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers: Jody, Lonnie and Robert.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Louise “Burress” Spurling; six children: Lonnie Spurling and wife Becky, Dale Spurling and wife Christy, Vistia “Sissy” Perkins and husband George, Ricky Spurling, Todd Spurling and wife Courtney all of Campbellsville and David Spurling of Elk Horn; a former daughter-in-law: Becky Spurling of Campbellsville; a brother: Glenn Merredith of Indiana.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
